In support of their critically acclaimed new album, Earth Rocker, Maryland rockers CLUTCH are set to kick off the second leg of the Earth Rocker North American Tour. Support on this run comes from The Sword and Lionize. An admat for the tour can be viewed HERE.

In addition to their headlining shows, CLUTCH will be appearing on select festivals in North America including Rock on the Range, Rocklahoma, and the Bud Light River City Rockfest, during the second leg of the North American tour.

Following the North American dates, CLUTCH will head to Europe for a headlining run and festival appearances. A complete list of all dates can be found below.

Frontman Neil Fallon recently taped an appearance for VH1 Classic’s That Metal Show which will air sometime this June. More details can be found on the VH1 Classic Website.

Earth Rocker was released in March via the band’s label Weathermaker Music. It entered the Billboard Top 200 chart at #15 achieving the band’s highest chart position to date. Then proceeded to hold its own on the Billboard Top 200 for a total of 5 weeks.

Earth Rocker also came in at #1 on the Hard Music Chart and #3 on the Independent Album Chart. The digital demand for this album continues to be very strong. In the week of release it shot to #4 on iTunes’ overall Top 100 album charts and was #1 in their rock chart.

Crucial Velocity has been received extremely well on The Welding Room. Earth Rocker continues to chart well at CMJ Loud Rock, including three weeks at #1 and seven weeks total and still holding strong with a position in the top 10.

Last week saw the WEATHERMAKER MUSIC release of the highly anticipated new studio album Earth Rocker from CLUTCH. Earth Rocker entered the Billboard Top 200 Charts at #15 marking the highest Billboard Chart debut in the band’s storied career. The album came in at #1 on the Hard Music Chart and #3 on the Independent Album Chart.

CLUTCH is currently out on the first leg of the Earth Rocker North American Tour. The tour runs through April 20 ending in Baltimore, MD. Supporting acts on this run include Orange Goblin, Lionize and Scorpion Child. 

The second leg of the Earth Rocker North American tour kicks off May 1 in Richmond, VA with The Sword and Lionize opening.

Spring 2013 Tour Dates Announced, Intrinsic Out Now!

THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, AS I LAY DYING Announce Tour

Ferret Music recording group The Devil Wears Prada and Metal Blade Records‘ As I Lay Dying have announced details of their upcoming North American co-headline tour. The hugely anticipated trek gets underway February 22 and continues through early April (see attached itinerary). Tickets for all dates will be on sale Friday, December 21.

The Devil Wears Prada and As I Lay Dying will be accompanied on the epic tour by For Today (on all dates except March 7-March 8), The Color Morale (February 22 – March 7), and The Chariot (March 8 – April 4).

The tour follows The Devil Wears Prada’s 2011 breakthrough, DEAD THRONE, which confirmed the band as one of the most potent and powerful in modern American metal. The Devil Wears Prada followed the release of DEAD THRONE with the hugely successful Dead Throne Tour: North America, captured for posterity on the recently released CD/DVD, DEAD&ALIVE. Prog Metallers Caricature Premiere New Track

Allston, Massachusettes progressive metal unit, Caricature, teamed up with Heavy Blog is Heavy to unleash a brand new track entitled Saviors II, from their forthcoming debut full length album, The Sound of One Man’s World Collapsing. Head on over and check out Saviors II at this location.

Caricature mastermind, Joseph Spiller, had the following to say about the meaning behind the song and how it differs a little bit from the rest of the album:

“Juxtaposed with the other songs on the record which are introverted and autobiographical, Saviors II is about a former friend. The person used to be one of the most stand up, hard-working people you could ever meet. Amazingly talented, but somewhere along the way this individual chose drugs and an intense obsession with a certain psychedelic drug addled writer over life, career, family and friends. Deep in it all to the point where they did nothing else other than sit around their parents house, spent their money, didn’t work and then somehow turned a nose up to the rest of the world and believed to be on a “higher moral plane” than everyone else. Saviors II is a song about someone being a disappointment, not so much to others, but to themselves.“

Caricature recently wrapped up the recording process for The Sound of One Man’s World Collapsing at Universal Noise Storage in Newburyport, MA with Greg Macklin (Ordinance/Jeff Loomis) and Brett Boland handling mixing duties. The album also features a guest solo from Greg. A release date has not been set.
