HPGD Productions Announce SEPTORY, SADISTIK FOREST Split Album

Horror Pain Gore Death ProductionsHorror Pain Gore Death Productions will release a split CD between Russia’s premiere Death Metal band SEPTORY and Finland’s own SADISTIK FOREST (featuring Markus Makkonen of HOODED MENACE). This CD is part of the HPGD ”Price Slasher” series and will be released on June 25.

Below is the official description:

Horror Pain Gore Death Productions brings together two of the sickest Death Metal bands in the world for a killer split! Septory are the fastest rising Death Metal band in Russia at the moment. Featuring members of cult Death Metal act Bestial Deform and Black Metal horde Khashm, their brand of traditional yet innovative Death Metal is highly recommended for fans of Deicide, Vader and early Cannibal Corpse. After releasing the Rotting Humanity EP in 2006, Septory put out their crushing debut World War Chaos in 2008, followed by the destructive Seductive Art Profane in 2011. Their strong HPGD debut features a deadly collection of new anthems of evil, old school Death Metal and includes a cover of Bestial Deform’s Three Days Since Dead. An absolutely crushing offering!

Finland’s Sadistik Forest is Death Metal four piece from Oulu and includes Markus Makkonen of Hooded Menace on vocals/bass. The band has often been compared to such names as Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel, Terrorizer, Vader, Napalm Death, Sodom and early Sepultura. Relentless, punishing and unforgiving, their aural assault is a concoction of early 90′s Death Metal, Grindcore and 80′s Thrash. After releasing their self-titled debut in 2010, SF released the brutal Death, Doom, Radiation in 2012. This recording features three brand new originals and a cover version of the Seth Putnam‘s/Thor’s collabaration Throwing Cars at People (On Coke With Thor). This is the 4th entry in the Price Slasher series that delivers high quality sickness at the lowest price possible. Prepare to headbang!

After a bloody successful maiden voyage in 2012, Decibel is doubling down on veteran star power for their second annual national tour. This spring, the plague spreads as Decibel brings you three living legends of death metal and grindcore: the preeminent gore institution Cannibal Corpse; rabble-rousing U.K. grind icons Napalm Death, and NYDM stalwarts Immolation.

Cannibal Corpse released a box set to commemorate their 25th anniversary: Dead Human Collection: 25 Years of Death Metal. The box contains: all 12 full length studio albums in a 12 CD foldout case with new artwork, Torturing and Eviscerating LIVE on CD and LP Picture Disc recorded in Tampa, FL 2010/Milwaukee, WI 2012, PLUS: NEW EXCLUSIVE images by VINCE LOCKE, 12″ X 12″ graphic prints of all 13 original album covers, and a 2013 Cannibal Corpse Calendar. Limited quantities of the box set are still available at indiemerch.com/metalbladerecords.

“We’re psyched to be headlining this year’s Decibel Magazine Tour along with Immolation and Napalm Death,” says Cannibal Corpse bassist Alex Webster.

“This is a lineup of bands that have been a consistent part of the death/grind scene for decades, and we’re proud to be a part of it. It will be a legendary night for extreme music.”

“Do you remember the Blue Grape Merchandise catalog?” asks Decibel Editor in Chief Albert Mudrian.

“How about the Hard N’ Heavy Grindcore Video Special? Or purchasing CDs in longboxes? Then this year’s Decibel Magazine Tour was aseembled for you. See you on the campaign trail for musical destruction.”

Technical death metal force ARCHSPIRE released new studio footage of the members recording their forthcoming Season of Mist debut. The footage can be found here.

ARCHSPIRE (Tobi Morelli – guitar, Spencer Prewett – drums, Dean Lamb – guitar, Jaron Evil – bass & vocals, Oli Peters – vocals)

Recently, ARCHSPIRE was named as a regional opening act for this year’s upcoming Decibel Magazine Tour. On May 21, the band will play alongside CANNIBAL CORSPE, NAPALM DEATH, IMMOLATION, and newly signed label mates, BEYOND CREATION at the Vancouver Commodore.

ARCHSPIRE has taken the world-wide extreme metal scene by storm with their unique blend of blindingly fast, hyper aggressive technical death metal. The five piece are a national headliner in their home country of Canada, and have toured Europe supporting DECAPITATED, ABORTED, FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE, and more. The band has also supported HATE ETERNAL, NAPALM DEATH, PIG DESTROYER, ORIGIN, and many more throughout western Europe.

“If you are asking, ‘Is there something new to do in Death Metal?’ ARCHSPIRE is the answer” technicaldeathmetal.com

“This is a truly eye-popping convulsion of tech-death, with schizophrenic rhythms, astounding technical riffing and drumwork, and tiny threads of reappearing melody that stitch the songs together into cohesive wholes. And I’m not sure I’ve ever heard a death-metal vocalist bark out the lyrics faster than ARCHSPIRE’s . . . . This is most definitely a band to keep your eyes on; you will hear more about them” - No Clean Singing

“ARCHSPIRE have released a gem. It’s definitely technical death, and it adroitly blends elements of various tech death bands together. The rhythm guitar work varies from choppy and percussive to fluid and melodic. The blasting and double bass work are absurdly fast, but remain fluent and rhythmic rather than wooden or jittery. The hard to soft musical transitions are as natural as I’ve ever heard in this genre” - InvisibleOranges.com

“The pick-me-up comes in the form of ARCHSPIRE, a gang of happy-looking Canadians who might have been widely unknown to most present before this performance, but surely no longer. With a technical proficiency bordering on OMFG levels, they still achieve what lacks in a lot of other bands like this: the feat of actually writing songs. What’s more, they noticeably enjoy what they do, so smiles are abundant even if face-peeling technical death metal about alien monoliths and planets being devoured is going on” – Terrorizer

CHOSEN Crosses 5,000 Downloads of Debut Album

amr_logo_smal_570

Today’s digital age has made metal more accessible than ever as the internet has been a key tool in creating word of mouth between metal fans and their love for the music. Irish extreme metal band CHOSEN recently demonstrated this by offering their debut album Resolution for free download via their official website, which has now reached over 5,000 FREE downloads since its release on March 30.

CHOSEN: David McCann (Drums & Percussion), Paul Shields (Vocals/Guitars)

Drummer/Percussionist David McCann is proud to comment the following:

“We’re simply blown away by overall response to Resolution and could never have predicted this intense level of interest. While 5,000 downloads in just one week may seem relatively small in the grand scheme of things, for a niche band such as ourselves it’s more than we could have ever expected and only reinforces the notion than putting this album up for free download was the right move.”

Produced by Alwyn Walker, Resolution is a reflection of sheer perseverance and innovation, brimming with top-notch musicianship, well-crafted arrangements and inventive hooks. Merged with a rich audio production value, void of the sterile, homogeneous and plastic instrumentation factor, which currently dominates the commercial metal market, this debut album from one of Ireland’s noteworthy metal bands is a truly refreshing piece of work.

Resolution is also available in two special edition CD formats:

The Deluxe Special Edition is a double CD that features a 9-track bonus disc of unreleased songs, rough mixes, drum and bass tracks taken from their album sessions along with a detailed album booklet.

The Collector’s Edition is a spawn of the Deluxe Special Edition that includes a beautiful 60-page, full colour soft cover booklet, extensive liner notes, lyrical themes and illustrations for each song, rare photos, studio diaries and more, all exhibited within an exquisite tapestry of expanded album artwork courtesy of Fiaz Farrelly making it a must have item for those who want something a little more tangible to add to their music collection.

DARK SERMON Album Now Available

Logo: Nuclear Blast Records

Take the best, forget that rest: that’s the ethos behind Dark Sermon, whose musical outpouring conjures the fist-raising melody of European death metal, the blackened underbelly of bleak blast-beating musical warfare, the churning malevolence of technical
death metal and the uniquely down-to-earth flair of the NWOAHM and combines it all into something fresh and potent.

DARK SERMON - “In Tongues” out now! - 2013-04-12 00:00

The Press agrees:

Florida’s Dark Sermon take the best of young-pup hardcore-infused death metal and give it a much needed edge that’s been missing since Himsa‘s demise” - Revolver

“DARK SERMON look straight ahead. Straight, brutal Death Metal with thrashy riffs, high screams and a lot of speed” - Powermetal.de

“DARK SERMON plays pure Death Metal, there is neither an influence of Metalcore, nor from oldschool. Death Metal fans know what I’m talking about” - Myrevelations.de

Check the music video for the track In Tongues, here:

Check the lyric video of the first single Imperfect Contrition here: http://youtu.be/uqQZE2Y0wGI

“The lyrics tell the story of a man who can no longer live with himself,” explains front man Johnny Crowder.

“A man whose future has been shrouded by his sinful past. All he can do is beg for forgiveness from God, who has witnessed every wrong move he has made.”

In Tongues track listing:

3. Hounds

The Devil’s Blood announced at the beginning of 2013 that they have “returned to nothingness.” At the same time, they announced that plans had already been put into motion to release new material. The new seven song album, III: Tabula Rasa or Death and the Seven Pillars, will serve as the band’s final full-length release. A new track, White Storm of Teeth, has been made available for streaming at metalblade.com/thedevilsblood, where fans can also pre-order the album, and view the art, which was done by Manuel Tinnemans. III: Tabula Rasa or Death and the Seven Pillars will be available for purchase on iTunes April 30, via all other digital outlets (Google Play, Amazon MP3, etc.) on May 28, and on CD and vinyl June 11.

SL comments on the release:

“Prior to our disbanding on the 22nd of January 2013 we had been active with the pre-production of what was to be our third album. 7 songs, the complete outline of the album, had been, in humble form, recorded in my home recording studio and these demos were supposed to be the template for our studio recordings. Obviously we would never make it that far and the initial shock of that fact saddened us greatly. After but a few days we listened to this material again and decided that even though the audio quality might not be what people have come to expect from a The Devil’s Blood release, the song material was and is the best we have ever done. We came to the conclusion that these songs deserve to become a part of The Canon and that we would release them as is.”

“I spent a few days gathering all the demo material together, made a very simple mix and gave the material to our friend and mentor Pieter G. Kloos to master in his studio. Here we present you with the titles of the material and the artwork which was done by Manuel Tinnemans.”

“The song we have chosen to release now is White Storm of Teeth. More so than the other material this song speaks to the completion and transubstantiation that always follows an Occult path. Not the end of a journey but the start of a completely new one. Built around thirteen stanzas in the first part and thirteen stanzas in the second part the process of inner enlightenment through confusion and entropy and the initiation through the Death of the lower self is illustrated. This theme is rampant throughout the record and its lyrics but here it culminates and completely devours itself. After this work no words are needed and, on the album, none are offered.

“The Devil’s Blood has always been an entity that defied any fealty or thankfulness towards any earthly influence. But we as people need not hold to this paradigm any longer. We therefore wish to express our sincere thankfulness to all those who have supported this weird quest and have made the earthly woes to not work against us. You most definitely know who you are.

“The record will be released by Ván Records in Europe and the rest of the World and by Metal Blade in North America. It will be available as digital download, CD and LP starting the 30th of April in Europe and a date soon to be announced in the USA/CAN. With thankfulness and a glad heart filled with the pride of a work well done,
SL/…/AO

Fans can also order the last remaining vinyl copies of The Thousandfold Epicentre. The gatefold double vinyl deluxe edition is limited to 1,000 copies worldwide and includes a full color 12 page 12″x12″ insert. Preview the beautiful packaging at indiemerch.com/metalbladerecords.

“F The Mouth Of Satan does not speak onstage. F The Mouth Of Satan does not give interviews. The only sounds that escape her larynx in public are the rich, silvery tones of her exquisite singing voice. Part Grace Slick, part Ann Wilson, she sounds like she should be haunting the soundtracks of some long-lost Italian horror flick from the 1970s” - Terrorizer

“Dutch rockers The Devil’s Blood bring to mind what Jefferson Airplane‘s sound would have been if they abandoned their love of psychedelic drugs for good old-fashioned Satanism” - LA Weekly

“a dense tapestry of elements both sanguine and chaotic, hypnotic and variable, fragile and durable” - BloodyGoodHorror.com

Brutal Western Canadian death band XUL whom are in studio recording their follow up EP to their debut album Malignance which available for FREE DOWNLOAD here. XUL are proud to reveal to fans their new logo.

XUL (pictured from left to right): Bill Ferguson – Vocals/Guitar, Wallace Huffman – Guitar, Marlow Deiter – Bass, Lowell Winters – Drums, Levi Meyers – Vocals

“We knew at some point during our time together that we would end up changing our logo. This is the third time our logo has changed, but this time, we believe it will be permanent. Bill Ferguson our guitarist created the other two using graph paper, so we decided to get the new logo done professionally. It coincides with our growth not only as musicians, but as a group, as we have spent a lot of time together over the past four years. Artist Chris Horst did an excellent job and we think it turned out awesome. It keeps the theme of our old logo but brings some new complementary elements together as well. This will make for a somewhat simple transition from old logo, to new. This is a new chapter in our musical journey and to document it, we felt this was the best decision, we hope everyone digs it!”  - vocalist Levi Meyers

If you’re a fan of Behemoth, Dissection and Immortal this is one album not to be missed as the band forges their brand of Blackened Death Metal.

About:

A five piece group based out of Vernon, British Columbia, Canada, following in the footsteps of bands such as: Behemoth, Dissection, and Immortal, XUL have left the beaten path and set out to forge their own brand of Blackened Death Metal.

An energetic and interactive live performance – with crushing rhythms seamlessly coalescing into atmospheric passages, accompanied by punishing percussion waves and subtle vocal harmonies – expands upon the previously established essence of the sub-genre. With songs reminiscent of war-torn landscapes, destructive human nature and evil intent, XUL has captivated audiences and garnered positive reviews, and on June 16, 2012, released their first full length album, entitled Malignance.

Driven by determination and a diverse accumulation of musical comprehension, XUL has toured Western Canada, as well as proven themselves worthy to share the stage with bands such as: Obscura, Exhumed, Vreid, Kampfar, Woods of Ypres, Macabre, Withered, Cephalic Carnage, Archspire and 3 Inches of Blood. With a spring 2013 tour looming, XUL is determined to build on an impressive local following by infecting Western Canada with hopes of Canada in its entirety in the near future. XUL’s focus for winter 2012 is to meticulously craft new material for another release in 2013.

Swedish Death Metal Act, ENTRAILS, Announce Guest Vocalists

Swedish death metal act, ENTRAILS, has announced the guest vocalists to be featured on their upcoming third album Raging Death.

Artists confirmed to appear on Raging Death include: Kam Lee (BONE GNAWER, ex-MASSACRE), Jorgen Sandstrom (THE PROJECT HATE MCMXCIX, ex-GRAVE, ex-ENTOMBED), Rogga Johansson (PAGANIZER a.o.) and Dan Swano (ex-EDGE OF SANITY). Fans will hear the guest vocalists on Death League.

Raging Death to be released May 14

Kam Lee:

“ENTRAILS is one of the best Death Metal bands around today hands down – and their track DEATH LEAGUE is just pure aggressive cut throat – true death metal in its most rawest and traditional form… the way death metal is meant to be played! When I was asked by the maniacs of ENTRAILS to lend my death growl vomit to the mix I was honored. But the fact that I’m sharing growls alongside other such legendary Swedish death metal vocalist – makes the brutality of the track even more so shredding! Like a cannibal mutant feeding frenzy of blood soaked gore… this track will make you bleed from the inside out!”

Dan Swano:

“I love working with Entrails. Their catchy brand of Death Metal is right up my alley. And when I heard that Kam Lee, Jorgen Sandstrom and some other major dudes we’re gonna join forces in a track, I happily accepted the invitation without to blink. A kick ass experience indeed! Make sure you hear it!”

Rogga Johansson:

“When asked to do some growling on a track by Entrails all I could think was ‘Fuck yes!’ I’ve been a fan of the band for a long, long time, as I had old recordings on a tape I got from a friend. And when I learned that I’d be in such awesome company as the legends guesting, I was even more happy about it! And the song fucken’ crushes!”

Jorgen Sandstrom:

“I did not hesitate a second when Adde asked me to do some vocals for the new Entrails album but I had no idea that I was supposed to be in a song with these Sickos!!! If I knew I would had said yes in Planck time!! Death League FTW!”

Make sure to head over at metalblade.com/entrails to check out the artwork for Raging Death, as well as the first single In Pieces.

ENTRAILS comments on Raging Death:

“This is the perfect next step for ENTRAILS. A massive stench of death, right in your face! Raging Death as a title suited the album as a whole, since it’s pure death metal without mercy!”

Raging Death was recorded in different studios, the drum recordings took place at the Racetrack studios while the basis recordings were done at Jimmy Lundqvist’s own The Crypt recording studios. The album was mixed and mastered by Dan Swano at Unisound.

Raging Death tracklisting:
1. In Pieces
2. Carved To The Bone
3. Blood Hammer
4. Headless Dawn
5. Cadaverous Stench
6. Descend To The Beyond
7. Death League
8. Chained And Dragged
9. Defleshed
10. Cemetery Horrors

ENTRAILS formed in the ’90s, but split up before they were able to release a demo or even an album. It took them until 2008 to come back when guitarist Jimmy Lundqvist rediscovered some old tapes. In a moment of nostalgia, he decided that they deserved to be released as they should have been originally. With modern recording technology, the first ENTRAILS demo could finally take shape. After releasing another demo in 2009, ENTRAILS recorded and released their debut album, Tales From The Morgue, in 2010. Just a year later, The Tomb Awaits was released, an album that gained worldwide attention of music fans of the extreme and was considered by many as the best death metal release of 2011.

ENTRAILS:
Joakim Svensson – Vocals/Bass
Jimmy Lundqvist – Guitar
Mathias Nilsson – Guitar
Adde Mitroulis – Drums
