Blast Head Records is proud to announce the signing of Ancient Roman death metal band ADE for the spring release of their sophomore album entitled Spartacus, featuring extreme metal drummer George Kollias for the follow up to their 2009 debut Prooemivm Sangvine.

True masters of music, ADE, formed in 2007, with the purpose of blending death metal with the traditional instruments of ancient Rome and Greece.

“When I first listened to Spartacus I was instantly intrigued by the amazing song structures, production and most importantly the musicianship of ADE! From start to finish Spartacus grips you with musical hooks and their use of traditional Roman instruments allows you hear something new with every listen. The album is very powerful, memorable and in all honesty is a major contender for album of the year! I am beyond proud to have ADE on Blast Head Records to showcase their talents to the world!”  – Paul Shaw, owner of Blast Head Records.

NIGHTFALL Release New Single

Greek symphonic metallers NIGHTFALL released the second single from their upcoming new album, CassiopeiaSurf over to Legacy magazine, Europe‘s biggest extreme metal magazine, at legacy.de to check out Colonize Cultures.

NIGHTFALL comments on the song as follows:

“The wheel of human race is moving towards by instinct. Slowly like a ferocious heavy tank roaring in muddy terrain and bravely like an astronaut in his capsule traveling to no man land. The creation of new lanes to earthly havens for the countless of restless souls to follow enormously is a fascinating old story. The Colonization is an unstoppable process that soon will reach extraterrestrial lands. A new Culture is imperative for smooth transition to the new era.”

Cassiopeia will be released January 22 in North America.

They recorded the album in four different places, something the band is quite familiar with. Vocals and keys were recorded in Greece (Soundflakes studios & Cyberia) while the drums got hammered down in Germany in the Soundlodge studios. Guitars and bass were recorded in the U.S. in Nashville, Tennessee in the Boomcave studios.

More than on the previous album Astron Black & The Thirty Tyrants, in Cassiopeia the spirit of old school Heavy Metal larks in almost every riff, with Mercyful Fate‘s and King Diamond‘s guitar style having its top notch, always the NIGHTFALL way.

Unlike Astron Black, there are more fast tempos as well as grindy ones bringing memories back from the mid 90′s times of now cult release Athenian Echoes. The vocals remain very, very heavy and thanks to Soundflakes amazing gear and Jörg Uken’s super mixing skills fit great with the melodic leads, moreover creating a solid sound wall where vocalist Efthimis comfortably sits on and spreading his inner daemons out to the world!

NIGHTFALL:
Efthimis Karadimas – vocals
Evan Hensley – guitars
Constantine – guitars
Stathis Ridis – bass
Stathis Kassios – keys
Jörg Uken – drums
