Italian symphonic death metal act FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE is currently working on their third full-length with producer Stefano Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio.

Cristiano Trionfera (guitar, vocals) states: 

“We are tracking guitars now, and the result is amazing… Stefano is nailing it and we know the album will sound incredibly powerful.”

For this album the band also used the precious collaboration of very talented guests, which gave a great contribution to make it a unique piece of art.

Tommaso Riccardi (guitar, vocals) commented:

“The concept of this album is based on the myth of the Labyrinth of Knossos and every character related to it. We focused on the philological aspect in order to represent all the elements of the classic world and, through a manic and meticolous research, we managed to create a metaphor with our times, as the maze can be associated with the endless search for what we really are. We’re sure you will be stunned by this as much as we are.”

Francesco Paoli (Drummer) adds: 

“It’s difficult to recap in a few words all the elements contained in our new work, but we are sure this will absolutely be THE album for us. We have spent a lot of time composing these new songs and, even if recordings are not finished yet, we can firmly declare that this material is simply incredible, more mature and definitely a huge step forward from all our previous works. Epic complex harmony, sophisticated touching melodies, a true vocal aggression, photonic grooves and back to articulated riffing… these are just few things you will find in this album. It’s fucking quality music, you will see.”

Fans from all around the world had the chance to ask CHILDREN OF BODOM their questions via the official Nuclear Blast Europe Facebook page and when Felix of Nuclear Blast met the band he forwarded them to Alexi and Henkka.

This resulted in a great video interview – Part I can be watched here.

CHILDREN OF BODOM recorded Halo Of Blood at Finland’s Danger Johnny Studios (in a top secret, undisclosed location in Helsinki) with recording engineer Mikko Karmila, who worked on the Hatebreeder (1999), Follow the Reaper (2000), and Hate Crew Deathroll (2003) albums.

The album was produced by the band and Mikko Karmila, mixed at Finnvox Studios, Keyboards recorded by Janne Wirman and vocal production by Peter Tägtgren.

Finnish masters of melacholic dark metal, AMORPHIS, announced Circle as the title of their upcoming 11th album, set for an April 19 release via Nuclear Blast

A short summary about the album’s concept/story that spreads throught out the lyrics by Pekka Kainulainen, who wrote the lyrics for most recent AMORPHIS albums can be read below:

“The protagonist has been dealt a bad hand at birth. He’s always felt himself an outsider with strong potential to become marginalized. Through an accident, after a crisis, he finds a connection with his inner powers. A guide is sent to him, from some other time and place. He gets a chance to take hold of his own life and change his destiny. From the past of Carelian Finland he finds his own spiritual tribe and the power to turn the course of his doomed life. This is a story of survival.”

Singer Tomi Joutsen adds about the album’s title:

“Circle represents integrity. Back in the days, when there was something special to talk about, wise men used to sit in circle. Not everyone was invited to join them. But in this story, the protagonist was invited among the wise men’s circle.“
