WHITECHAPEL Members Launch YouTube Channels

WHITECHAPEL guitarist Alex Wade just launched his official youtube channel. Fans can subscribe now at youtube.com/AlexWadeOfficial. The first video is a performance demonstration of WHITECHAPEL’s Vicer Exciser from their upcoming re-issue of The Somatic Defilement. The re-issues was completely re-mixed by Audiohammer’s Mark Lewis and re-mastered by Alan Douches at West Westside.

Alex Wade comments on the new channel: “For a while, I have taken to videography as a second hobby to guitar playing. Creating this YouTube channel just combines my two favorite hobbies and allows me to connect more personally with our fan base, so it just seems like a natural thing for me to do. I will be posting song play throughs of Whitechapel (and non Whitechapel) songs, gear demos, FAQs, tutorials, tour videos, and a lot more.”

WHITECHAPEL fans can also subscribe to vocalist Phil Bozeman’s channel, which focuses on gaming, as well as responses to questions from fans. Subscribe at youtube.com/phillybo1985. The official channel for the band can be found at youtube.com/whitechapeltv.

WHITECHAPEL Announce More European Summer Dates

WHITECHAPEL’s debut full-length album, The Somatic Defilement, is the album that firmly planted the band on an upward trajectory and carried them to the upper echelons of modern death metal. The band has taken The Somatic Defilement and placed it in the capable hands of Audiohammer Studios producer Mark Lewis for a complete re-mix and re-master. The results are staggering and give The Somatic Defilementa modern luster up to the standards of the band’s most recent recordings. Fans can listen and pre-order now at metalblade.com/whitechapel. The album will be released April 12/15.

The Somatic Defilement, originally released in 2007, is a concept album about Jack the Ripper‘s infamous murders of prostitutes in East London‘s WHITECHAPEL district. This 2013 re-release sees the band tasking producer Mark Lewis to painstakingly bring the six year old recording to today’s standard.

The band’s latest effort, the self-titled album that dropped on June 19, 2012 in North America, debuted at #47 on the Top 200 Chart, #10 on the Top Independent Albums Chart, #3 on the Hard Music Albums Chart (Current), #2 on the Hard Music Albums Chart (Core Stores) and #64 on the Top Digital Album Chart.

Whitechapel was one of the most well received albums of 2012, with critical acclaim from some of the most respected music outlets including The New York Times, Alternative Press, Metal Hammer. The album also claimed bragging rights as the iTunes UK Metal Album of the Year for 2012!

WHITECHAPEL’s video for their song I, Dementia can be viewed HERE. The video was shot by David Brodsky of MyGoodEye as part of the Scion AV Project.

WHITECHAPEL announced more European dates for the summer (see TOUR DATES page) with more dates to be announced soon. Spread the word!

A Pale Horse Named Death: Live in NJ, TONIGHT!

There’s a vast number of fantastic metal shows converging on the Tri-State area all at once this weekend. It seems unfair to have to pick & choose but you’ll need to do just that. Last night notwithstanding, some of the bands making their way through NJ, Philly & NYC include Kyuss Lives!, WhiteChapel (with The Devil Wears Prada tour), Between The Buried And Me & local all-star outfit, A Pale Horse Named Death, featuring members of Type O Negative, Life Of Agony, Biohazard & Seventh Void.

The best way to decide which show to attend may boil down to ‘rarity’ of the event.

No one can say how long the current Kyuss semi-reunion will last, while the other bands don’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.

Unfortunately, this comes one day into the APHND weekend run, but learn more courtesy of Bravewords.com > News > A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH Announces New York and New Jersey Shows http://www.bravewords.com/news/170565
