From the Vaults, Vol. 1

From the Vaults, Vol. 1 is available internationally and streaming in its entirety via Loudwire.

This project has been a labor of love”, explained guitarist/singer/producer Phillip Cope. “We have spent over a year going through old songs, covers, etc. and collected those we felt went well together; remixing and finishing them up. We didn’t want to release something just thrown together so we put a lot of thought and time into it. I am really happy about how this came together. I think it is a good representation of KYLESA’s different styles from early on to present day.”

Singer/guitar player Laura Pleasants recently gave Decibel Magazine an in-depth look at the songs included on From the Vaults, Vol. 1 with a track-by-track rundown.

The band is currently recording a new album at The Jam Room in Columbia, South Carolina with Cope once again producing the album. He previously produced releases from BARONESS, WITHERED and BLACK TUSK.

The From the Vaults, Vol. 1 Digipak, limited color vinyl, merch items and bundles can be found on Season of Mist’s e-shop. A full list of retailers carrying the album can be found below.

ANCIIENTS sign to Season of Mist Records

Season of Mist Records is proud to announce the signing of Vancouver metal quartet ANCIIENTS.

ANCIIENTS finished mastering their debut album slated for release in 2013. The as-yet-untitled album sees the quartet  forging together smoldering apocalyptic riffs, classic hard rock influences and unforgettable vocal melodies with an interplay praising both the natural and occult.

Regarding the signing, the band released the following statement:

“We are honored to have Season of Mist release our debut, the fact that they chose us and believe in us means the world. We are proud to represent them and have them representing us as artists, and look forward to working with them for years to come.”

Formed in 2010, ANCIIENTS quickly took the Vancouver scene by storm. In their short time as a band, ANCIIENTS have already shared the stage with acts such as Pig Destroyer, Skeletonwitch, Manilla Road, 3 Inches of Blood, Boris, and High on Fire, and been invited to perform at the prestigious Sled Island and Noctis Festivals.

Cattle Decapitation @ The Backstage

Cattle Decap ripped it up in Trenton last night. Brooklyn tonight. I strongly recommend this rock n’ roll event. It may assist you in preparation, to immediately purchase MONOLITH OF INHUMANITY (if you haven’t done so already).

PHOTOS from Cattle @ The Backstage COMING SOON!

We begin the campaign to assemble OUR CHOICES for Summers Laughter this… Uh, summer.

I’ll cast the (obvious) first stone.
