CIRCLE II CIRCLE Join the Armoury Records Roster

New Album To See Release in 2013, Cover Art Revealed

Armoury Records, in conjunction with Hamburg, Germany-based earMUSIC, will release the sixth studio album from American metallers CIRCLE II CIRCLE this winter. Led by former Savatage vocalist Zak Stevens, the 12-track Seasons Will Fall promises to be the band’s strongest album to date both musically and sonically blending Stevens’ history and unique “Savatage style” with the fresh sounds he’s meticulously developed with CIIC — a commanding fusion of metal and hard rock, powered by his passionate melodic rock vocals. From the howling guitar riffs of “Diamond Blade” and “Killing Death” to the energetic sound of “Never Gonna Stop,” the album contains everything you want from a heavy rock album.

earMUSIC/Edel and Zak Stevens have enjoyed critical acclaim and commercial success together over the years with Savatage’s Dead Winter Dead (1995) and The Wake of Magellan (1997), true milestones of hard rock/heavy metal and some of the highest charting metal success stories of the ‘90s.

Comments Stevens of the new label home and forthcoming full-length:

“With earMUSIC releasing our sixth album, we are exactly where we need to be at this point in our career. We have the right album along with a fantastic new label. The timing of all this will take the upcoming world tour to an entirely new level. We are very much looking forward to the release of Seasons Will Fall. This is an album that will strongly define the identity and place of hard rock and heavy metal music in the world today.”

Formed in 2001, CIRCLE II CIRCLE has released five albums to date consistently progressing into something more powerful with each offering without sacrificing the signature sound fans around the globe have grown to adore. The turning point for CIIC came in 2012 with their monumental performance of The Wake of Magellan in its entirety at Germany’s legendary Wacken Open Air Festival. What followed was a sold-out European club tour with full European jaunt set to follow in 2013.

Seasons Will Fall will be released in North America via Armoury Records on January 29, 2013.

Stay tuned for further details.

ANCIENT VVISDOM Reveal New Track, Cover Art

Pre-order for sophomore album Deathlike now underway

Acoustic rockers ANCIENT VVISDOM unveiled the title track from their forthcoming album Deathlike,  streaming exclusively here.

Vocalist Nathan Opposition provides the following insight into the track:

“Deathlike’ is a way of life, an ongoing war in the human mind conquering fear over death. It asks the question each human being must ask themselves — an effort to find life on earth.”

Deathlike will be released physically and digitally in North America on February 5, 2013, in the UK on February 4 and in Europe on February 8.

You can head over to the PROSTHETIC webstore to pre-order Deathlike on CD and LP which will come in two variants (180-gram black vinyl or a limited-edition variant of clear vinyl with a black swirl) — for 10% OFF using the PROSTHETIC Black Friday discount code (BF2012) until Friday, November 30 ONLY.
Deathlike, the follow-up to their 2011 critically acclaimed debut A Godlike Inferno, was once again mixed and mastered by engineer/co-producer Jason Buntz, who this time partnered with Enormous Door founder Jack Control (Jet, The Darkness, …Trail Of Dead). The album artwork, which is featured above, was completed by the renowned Travis Smith (Opeth, Devin Townsend, Katatonia).

On working with Smith, Opposition states,

“Travis Smith is the man! He brought out every idea in my head, beyond the grave. Grim and then some.”

Recorded at Diamond Factory Studios in Austin, Deathlike holds true to its moniker, putting listeners into a state of repose. Their only hope lies in Opposition’s vocals which, combined with the impassioned acoustic instrumentation, leaves listeners at the edge of their seat as they try to comprehend the depth of his haunting lyrics. AVV will be supporting the forthcoming release by supporting progressive black metal act Enslaved on their North American Winter Rite tour alongside Pallbearer in early 2013.
