INTEGRITY Sign To Indie Recordings

INDIE RECORDINGS are proud to announce the signing of the legendary Holy Terror cult band INTEGRITY!

Leaders of their generation and innovators of an entire music genre, INTEGRITY have announced the release of a limited edition 7″ titled Black Heksen Rise that will be included as part of the INDIE RECORDINGS 7-inch Collector’s Series. Limited to 500 copies worldwide (100 grey, 200 white, 200 black), the 7″ will be released February 8 in the U.S., Norway, Germany and Austria, and February 12 in the rest of Europe. You can pre-order your copy HERE.

The 7-inch features two remastered songs, Black Heksen Rise and VVaiting For The Sun (To Burn Your Eyes Out), both of which see the band’s trademark sound permeated by somewhat more of an obvious Japanese metal influence through raw, driving power chords; explosive solos and crazy tapping runs, and pounding mid-paced breaks with just the right amount of eerie melody.

You can check out a teaser video below:

Free BLUE STAHLI Download

One-man guitar-slinging hit-man Blue Stahli is about to drop his 3rd volume of hard hitting hybridized Alternative/Electronic-Rock geared for Film, TV and Video Games.

In anticipation of this release, Stahli is making the new track Atom Smasher available as a FREE download on Soundcloud.

“Atom Smasher is a soundtrack to a nonexistent movie filled to the brim with hyperstylized ultraviolence. Though I typically like doing more vocal material with an angle toward chainsaw guitars, it was a blast to make a cinematic monster built out of pissed off electronics.” – Blue Stahli

Antisleep Vol. 03, which releases as a FiXT Store Exclusive on December 18, worldwide at all digital outlets on January 22, 2013, will feature thirteen new cinematic pieces of instrumental action that instantly transport the listener into the world of high-octane Hollywood thrillers.

Grab this early taste NOW… you never know when you might need a soundtrack to your OWN car chase, dangerous escape, or alien encounter!

The sole member of Blue Stahli, Bret, comes from a background of fetish burlesque troupes, drag queen fronted punk bands and believes that he is visited in his dreams by the ghost of William S. Burroughs.

The music of Blue Stahli is not only meant to be aggressive, artistic, and full of piss n’ vinegar, but also vividly cinematic and wildly epic. Trailers and promos for films such as Expendables 2, Underworld: Awakening, Tron: Legacy and others all the way to TV shows like America’s Next Top Model, Big Bang Theory and MTV’s The Challenge feature Blue Stahli to create an exciting musical backdrop. Video games like Dead Rising 2 and ads for Victoria’s Secret have also utilized the music of Blue Stahli to inject their productions with rawness and energy. Either that, or a family member was held for ransom. Bret has never been successfully prosecuted, so we may never know.

Can’t See The Player? Watch Here

The self-titled debut album, released in March of 2011, is a double-barreled blast of anthemic songs that are just as focused on providing an emotional escape as they are to making you feel as though you could singlehandedly take on an entire army. Infectious vocal hooks ranging from sensual and emotive to screaming-bloody-murder serve as the foundation for stronger-than-steel songwriting while giant chainsaw guitar riffs threaten to burn cities to the ground in a blaze of hooky, distorted glory. Slick electronics and dramatic production provide a gripping cinematic atmosphere with more intrigue than a box full of Bond flicks. Live drums and tribal toms are pulverized with a ferocity typically reserved for guerilla warfare while sexy breakbeats cut through with a precision hellbent on giving you and your hips more groove than is physically or legally allowed. These ten songs of fury and release will get stuck in your head and stay there. Do not defy them.

The pure visceral feeling of Blue Stahli is a getaway drive into oblivion, cutting a jet-black swath down midnight asphalt. Clawing, scratching and tearing through to catharsis with the hyperstylized jagged edge of revenge. Art is a weapon. Use it.

SCYTHIA Release Christmas Track

SCYTHIA (pictured from left to right): Morgan Zentner – Oboe of Death, Celine Derval – drums/vocals, Terry Savage – bass/vocals, Dave Khan – lead vocals/guitar

Canada’s favorite purveyors of folk/prog metal, Scythia are back once again with a re-mixed and re-mastered version of their holiday tune …Of Santa, a cheerful track about Santa and his brave reindeer!

…Of Santa – audio streams

In additional news, Scythia unleashed their latest music video Video Game Medley in support of their new EP For The Bear released early this fall.

metal video game medley by scythia

Following the success of their 2010 release …Of War and 2011 release …Of Exile, Scythia unleashed their 2012 scorcher, For the Bear, this fall.

The short, but sweet seven-track EP departs from the orchestration and central concept of its predecessors, instead representing a leaner, faster, sharper folk metal machine.

“The songs are faster, more exciting, heavier and straight to the point,” says vocalist/guitarist Dave Khan.

“There’s much less of the acoustic interludes and extensive progressive sections in favor of capturing the excitement of folk/power metal. The result is a more modern and conservative mix that showcases our ability to play rippin’ folk metal.

So what is Scythia?

Taking its name from Khan’s infatuation with a painting of Nordic/Russian warriors riding bears while brandishing swords, Scythia not only “gives the painting musical significance,” but it is also

“the name of an ancient empire spanning from the Caucasus through Russia and into Eastern Scandinavia,” says Khan.
