Icelandic heathen rock group SÓLSTAFIR announced their first European tour dates of 2013. The band will embark on a complete European tour next month with LONG DISTANCE CALLING. Support will come from AUDREY HORNE on the first eight shows, and from SAHG for the rest of the tour. The trek starts on March 1, in Münster, DE and runs through March 23, in Rotterdam, NL. A full listing of confirmed dates can be found on the TOUR DATES page (see tab above).
SÓLSTAFIR performed as part of the Iceland Airwaves Festival last November. The critically-acclaimed quartet’s 3 song set is available for viewing here. This showcase sees the band playing select tracks off of 2011’s Svartir Sandar and 2009’s Köld.
SÓLSTAFIR are touring in support of their last album, Svartir Sandar (released by Season of Mist in October, 2011). The full-length album can be streamed here, and a music video for single, Fjara can be found here.
Svartir Sandar is available on a double CD, and a double LP (with bonus track and download card).
