Arizona grind masters LANDMINE MARATHON announced plans for a week-long West Coast tour en route to the Obscene Extreme Festival in Mexico alongside Napalm Death, Phobia, Dying Fetus and many more. The tour kicks off March 19 in Las Vegas and continues until the band reaches Mexico City on March 28. Full dates can be found on the TOUR DATES page. The band also announced that they will make their European live debut later this year at the European Obscene Extreme Festival in the Czech Republic.
LANDMINE MARATHON’s new vocalist Krysta Martinez commented,
“I couldn’t be more excited to be hitting the road for the first time with Landmine Marathon and playing these West Coast dates on our way to Mexico for Obscene Extreme America! Obscene Extreme America truly has one of the most crushing line-ups I’ve ever seen! I am so glad to be involved!”
The band also revealed that they are currently writing the follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2011 release Gallows, which was awarded “Album of the Month” honors by Terrorizer, who praised its “killer riffs, righteous anger and a burning desire to fuck shit up.” Such praise earned LM a hand-picked spot on Metallica’s Orion Music & More Festival in 2012.
LANDMINE MARATHON recently re-recorded two songs (Bile Towers and Dead Horses) with Martinez; both available digitally.
