UNCLE ACID & THE DEADBEATS Announce Album Release Date

Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, one of the most talked about rock bands currently in existence, and an enigma in the international underground scene, are preparing to release their third full length album. Mind Control is set for release April 15 via Rise Above Records in Europe and May 14 via Metal Blade Records in North America, following their two debut London sell-out concerts at The Garage. Within its blood soaked grooves you will hear shocking tales of bizarre desert ceremonies, religious brainwashing and drug inspired mass slaughter! Fans can order the album and listen to Poison Apple now at metalblade.com/uncleacid.

Imagine the original Alice Cooper band jamming in a cell with early Black Sabbath and the Stooges, whilst sitting on murder charges and you may get a glimpse into their fuzzed up world of exploding tube amps and cymbal smashing mayhem. However, this enticing act of musical manipulation is merely the icing upon a very sick cake.

Mind Control is a concept album with a theme that makes the acts and intentions of the likes of Charles Manson and Jim Jones seem like petty crimes. What makes Mind Control scarier than most albums is that it doesn’t seem as sinister on the surface as it really is deep down, within the core of its black acid-drenched world of pain and torture.

Recorded at the legendary Chapel Studios over an autumnal full moon using the finest western electrical technology, engineer Jim Spencer (Bert Jansch, Robert Wyatt) has captured perfectly the bands live sound of saturated fuzz, mind-bending riffs and 60’s vocal harmonies.

CATTLE DECAPITATION Confirm Australian Tour

CATTLE DECAPITATION, one of The Welding Room’s top artists of 2012, will be heading to Australia for their first time in their infamous career. The Hate Across Australia Tour, presented by: Triple J‘s The Racket, Destroy All Line, Killyourstereo.com, Blunt Magazine and New World Artists, consists of nine shows throughout the continent, beginning June 6 in Brisbane. CATTLE DECAPITATION will be direct support for Australia’s own Thy Art Is Murder. The entire list of confirmed dates, as well as links to purchase tickets, can be found on the TOUR DATES page.

Vocalist Travis Ryan (currently featured performing live in TWR banner photo) comments on the band’s first trip to Australia:

“For years we’ve been battered with requests to come to Australia for a tour and we’re pleased to announce it’s finally a reality! Australia is next on the map of untapped territories of the globe that we plan on hitting this year in support of our new album, Monolith of Inhumanity, and we’re very excited to finally head down under, meet the fans who have been asking for us all these years and show ’em what they’ve been missing! Seriously though, we’re very humbled and excited to have such a strong reaction so far away from what we call home. It’s an honor, we thank you guys, flights are booked… we’ll see you soon!”

Cattle Decapitation’s cinematic, nine-minute long minifilm for Kingdom of Tyrants is streaming now at metalblade.com/cattledecapitation. Monolith of Inhumanity, which was released in May of 2012, stands as one of the year’s most critically-acclaimed albums.

“There’s nothing welcoming about the bile slathered on in big portions, and even the occasional finger-snapping melody does not dilute the straight hatred these guys have for the human race” – #2 on About.com‘s Best Heavy Metal Albums of 2012“intricate and accomplished” – AVClub.com
