Said guitarist Anders Nyström,

“Dear Katatoniaks of North America! You have been blessed to get another round of this truly classic bill together, because today Opeth and Katatonia, two bands who share a longtime friendship and many musical collaborations, are back on the road to cloak you with some true Swedish atmosphere across North America for the next six weeks. We’ve

Katatonia is touring in support of its ninth studio album, Dead End Kings, which released August 28, 2012 on Peaceville Records.

Katatonia’s most successful US debut in its 20-year career, Dead End Kings entered at #4 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart, #138 on the Billboard Top 200 and #10 on Hard Rock, while also topping 2009’s Night is the New Day first week sales in the US.

The title is presented on transparent 7″ vinyl and features a re-mix of Hypnone (Frank Default Hypnocadence Mix), a track previously unavailable in the US

LORD DYING Join GHOST B.C. Tour

Having recently completed work on their Relapse Records debut, LORD DYING confirmed that they will be sharing the stage with Ghost B.C. and Ides of Gemini. These two special shows will take place at The Wonder Ballroom in Portland, OR on April 26th and Seattle, WA at The Showbox at the Market on April 27.

LORD DYING are stoked to play with these two shows:

“We’re are extremely excited to be performing with Ides of Gemini and Sweden’s delightfully fiendish Ghost B.C. , on their two Northwestern dates, these shows will not disappoint!”

LORD DYING come from Portland, Oregon, a place over abundant with purveyors of the heavy riff. A region where the inhabitants are plagued with nerve and joint damage due to lack of sunlight. In a time where everyone is trying to out-sludge or out-doom each other LORD DYING gives something less than a fuck. They are a metal band with members of Black Elk , Portals, Le Force, and Cremains, who in their short, one year’s time as a band have shared the stage with Down, Unsane, Yob, Valient Thorr, Black Cobra and many others.

After releasing a self-titled EP in 7″ form, the dudes kicked it up a notch, heading out on national tours with Witch Mountain followed by a long trek with label-mates Red Fang and Black Tusk. Fast forward to 2013 and LORD DYING are poised to be the new heavyweight champions of metal. Smashing the riffs of High On Fire into the groove of Kylesa, LORD DYING have delivered one of the most impressive metal debuts in a long, long time. A young band that has matured well beyond their years into a fully developed titanic heavy metal machine, LORD DYING’s new album, set for a summer release on Relapse Records, is poised to be one of the best debuts of 2013.

LORD DYING Live:
April 6 Seattle, WA – Sunset Tavern w/ The Anunnaki and Stoneburner
April 20 Portland, OR – Mississippi Studios w/ Floor, Norska, Black Pussy, Hot Victory
April 26 Portland, OR – The Wonder Ballroom w/ Ghost B.C and Ides of Gemini
April 27 Seattle, WA – The Showbox at the Market w/ Ghost B.C and Ides of Gemini
May 2 Olympia, WAMcCoy’s Tavern w/ Helms Alee, Federation X
May 23 Seattle, WA – Chop Suey w/ Glose, Tacos!

LOUNA: Hot Russian Singer! – Tons of New Album Promo Crap

Russian rockers LOUNA are pleased to share a new, exclusive video interview with Revolver Magazine. In the interview, the band discusses the new album Behind a Mask, rewriting their songs in English, misconceptions about LOUNA based on stereotypes, and more. You can watch the video now at Revolvermag.com.

LOUNA is poised to take over the American hard-rock scene with their new album, Behind A Mask, in-stores and available online April 30, 2013 via Red Decade Records and MEG/RED. Behind A Mask will open the eyes and ears of the American rock music scene by showcasing the pure blistering talent of LOUNA and the soaring vocals of the band’s lead singer Lousine “Lou” Gevorkian (in a world that has become immersed in autotune and over-production, Behind A Mask boasts true musical talent with only 10-15 seconds of vocal correction on the entire 45-minute record). Behind A Mask features 10 of the band’s best songs from their first two albums and have been painstakingly adapted into English by American producer and lyricist Travis Leake (the SLoT). The album was mixed by renowned producer/engineer Dan Korneff (Breaking Benjamin, The Pretty Reckless, Papa Roach, My Chemical Romance, Paramore) and mastering duties were handled by the legendary Ted Jensen of Sterling Sound, New York.

You can pre-order Behind a Mask now at Amazon.com. As of last month, the band released two new tracks, Business and Mama, via iTunes and Amazon. Download the tracks at the links below.

Download Mama – Amazon iTunes
Download Business – Amazon iTunes

LOUNA has a brand new music video for the track Business coming soon. View the new teaser video for the track now at CraveOnline.com. The full music video for Business is one of the most expensive and elaborate productions in Russian music history according to the film company, InnerVision.

LOUNA released their first album, Let’s Get Louder in December of 2010, selling out every venue during their first national tour of Russia supporting the album. Two singles, Fight Club and Let’s Get Louder reached #1 on the Russian radio charts, with Fight Club remaining in the top 10 for a record-breaking 16 weeks and also being named the 2011 Rock Song of the Year at the annual Nashe Awards. Along with this, LOUNA was nominated for Breakthrough Artist and Solo Performance of the year. Their second album, The Time of X, released in February of 2012 has already produced a #1 single, Mama, and their most recent single People Looking Up entered the Russian charts in the top 10.
