BIO:

Dubai is where, in the late 1990s, guitarist Alex Zubair and drummer Alan Madhavan came together to form Nephelium, guided by the sole vision of a band comprised of equal parts complexity and brutality.

Staying true to the roots of death metal, Nephelium was quick to forge ahead with experimentation, pulling in influences from metal and other genres.

With the hope of spreading Nephelium’s insidious gospel across the world, Zubair and Madhavan settled in Toronto, Canada where they completed the band’s lineup and immediately began playing shows and tearing up local stages, which quickly led to opening slots for metal heavyweights Skinless and Deicide.

Following a tumultuous journey spanning ten years, two continents and countless lineup changes, Nephelium is ready to once again give the death metal world a good shaking with the release of their debut album, Coils of Entropy.

The embodiment of Nephelium’s journey to striking the perfect balance between technical death metal, old school metal and Arabian melodies, Coils of Entropy is a six-track masterpiece set to breathe new life into today’s dwindling death metal landscape.

LAST CHANCE TO REASON Stream New Track

LAST CHANCE TO REASON‘s forthcoming release Level 3 has been named one of the “Top Albums of 2013 (So Far)” by MetalSucks, who have labeled the band “one of the most exciting young prog acts on the scene today.” Having recently debuted the music video for The Escapist, a new song available as an instant download when you pre-order Level 3 via Bandcamp, LAST CHANCE TO REASON now unveiled Rebirth, a second track from the new album. Stream it HERE.

While their critically acclaimed 2011 PROSTHETIC debut Level 2 revolved around the movement from physical reality to virtual spaces and what those changes would mean to life and art, the new album — recorded at Audiohammer Studios with Eyal Levi (Dååth, Whitechapel, Six Feet Under) — centers around a culture escaping from a bleak dystopian future into the freedom of imagination found in virtual reality.

LAST CHANCE TO REASON will return to the road shortly on a headlining jaunt throughout the U.S. with opener Evan Brewer (The Faceless). Last week, it was announced that LCTR vocalist Michael Lessard — who toured with The Contortionist earlier this year — joined that group on a full-time basis; his Contortionist bandmate Robby Baca (guitars) will perform with Lessard and LCTR on their summer tour, full dates of which can be found below. The band has previously played alongside acts including Animals As Leaders, Protest The Hero, Obscura, The Faceless, Atheist and Intronaut, in addition to performing at such high-profile events as CMJ, SXSW and the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival.

HIDDEN MASTERS Album To See U.S. Release In August

HIDDEN MASTERS Of This and Other Worlds to be released on August 6 via Metal Blade/Rise Above

Rise Above Records unearthed some of best and brightest talents in music over the last few years. One of their most recent additions, Glasgow’s Hidden Masters, added their unique twist on psychedelic rock/pop to the Metal Blade/Rise Above roster. Hidden Masters’ new album, Of This and Other Worlds, was released at end of May in Europe, and will finally be released in North America on August 6. Fans can stream Nobody Knows That We’re Here now at metalblade.com/hiddenmasters.

More about Hidden Masters:
Their first 7″, Nobody Knows That We’re Here was described by SHINDIG! magazine as “the most important psych-pop ’45 to come out of these fair isles for the past 30-something years.”

Debut album, Of This and Other Worlds is a true revelation. Defying genre imprisonment of any kind, Hidden Masters have ingeniously created their own world of mindbending musical ecclecticism, avoiding any notions of pastiche. Whilst there is a strong leaning towards 60’s pop and psych moves, the overall vibe is one that is vital, fresh and visionary.

Since their emergence at the turn of the decade, Glasgow-based trio Hidden Masters have been catching ears and turning heads with their dynamic ensemble sound, lush three-part vocal harmonies and a highly original and idiosyncratic fusion of musical styles, running the gauntlet from Rock’n’Roll to pop, West Coast Psych rock to Gospel and Folk to mind melting Vertigo-era prog, often all within one song, and positively aglow with melody, movement and imagination.

Their electrifying live shows offer the audience a one-stop intravenous blast of hedonistic joy, involving carnal flailing of limbs, euphoric wow-impulse neural stimulation and unprecedented levels of perspiration.

Fans recently caught them for a rare live London performance live on Sunday, April 21 @ Paper Dress Vintage.

The band also played a show at Glasgow’s King Tuts on April 17 with label mates Astra and Purson.

The group supported Wolf People, Pond, Smoke Fairies and Circulus, and guested on the recent Bonnie “Prince” Billy/Trembling Bells release The Marble Downs.

What people have said about Hidden Masters:

“Awe-inspiring” – The Guardian (UK)

“What makes this trio special beyond their exemplary musicianship and singing is their free form grasp of genre breaking. These are clearly masters of some hidden truth. Possibly the most unique band in the entire world” – SHINDIG!

“Enthralling and relentless” – The Daily Record

“Hidden Masters cite influences from Buddy Holly to Black Sabbath, but what we actually hear is glorious late sixties-esque garage, psych rock/pop done in a way that easily appeals to good music lovers of today” – The List

ALL ELSE FAILS Streaming New Song, EP Release Date

amr_logo_smal_570

July 30, 2013 marks the date of All Else Fails’ heaviest and most diverse release, Fucktropolis unleashed via Suicidal Bride Records. Heavy with a dark beauty, this highly anticipated five track EP, the band’s 4th release will solidly place All Else Fails amongst the best in their genre.

The first single Better Left Undead is now streaming at the following links:

Bandcamp: http://allelsefails.bandcamp.com/album/fucktropolis

Soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/sin_agency/better-left-undead

Youtube: http://youtu.be/AgrZVm-QUFw

Vocalist/guitarist Barrett Klesko comments:

“I’m proud to say that we have never made the same album twice, and this is no exception, easily our heaviest effort to date. This album is not only much heavier, but also much more sonically diverse. It’s extremely angry, but it has this grave, dark, beauty to it as well.”

Track Listing:

1. AntiMartyr

2. Better Left Undead

3. La Demencia Violenta

4. Obedience At The Altar of Sacrifice

5. A Most Unwanted Reprieve

Coming out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, All Else Fails is making a mark around the world for their aggressively dark brand of metal that is breaking the traditional ideals of their genre. Drawing comparisons to bands like As I Lay Dying, the band infuses their music with a variety of elements that includes experimental, Classical, synth lines, and spoken word sampling to accent a unique blend of heavy as hell screams and shiver inducing clean vocals.

A high energy live show that sets them apart from their peers has garnered them appearances on numerous high level festivals over the years, including Van’s Warped tour, Boonstock and opening spots for Protest the Hero, Cancer Bats, Dayglo Abortions, 3 Inches of Blood, Fear Factory, Threat Signal, Decapitated, Suffocation, and Arise & Ruin.

The band’s last release received world wide praise from industry publications around the world. With the release of the band’s most recent music video This Burden of Life in the fall of 2012, and its addition to rotation on Canada’s Much Music, All Else Fails’ fan base expanded dramatically.
