HUNTRESS Release Video Trailer

HUNTRESS generated a massive amount of buzz since the release of their debut album Spell Eater in 2012. The follow up to last year’s Starbound Beast, is available now in Europe and will be released this Tuesday, July 2 in North America via Napalm Records. The album can be pre-ordered on iTunes and Amazon.

The band recently completed work on a video for their song Zenith.  A video teaser can be viewed HERE. The clip was directed by Phil Mucci, whose video for HIGH ON FIRE’s Fertile Green was named best video of 2012 by Revolver. Look for the video to receive its exclusive premiere soon.

In support of the release of Starbound Beast HUNTRESS is hitting the road on the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. In addition to performing everyday, vocalist Jill Janus will host the first ever Shred-Meister guitar competition. Festival attendees can go to the Jägermeister tents on site and audition for a chance to shred for 10 seconds on the main stage. Each day, one of the 10 finalists will win a custom Jägermeister guitar from Schecter and the overall winner at the end of the tour will win a custom Jägermeister full stack and head courtesy of Peavey Electronics.

Starbound Beast was recorded at Hobby Shop Studios in Los Angeles, CA, working with famed producer Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Agnostic Front).  The artwork for Starbound Beast was created once again by Vance Kelly (Slayer, Ghost B.C., Mastodon).

HUNTRESS was spawned from the preternatural union of Jill Janus with underground metal bands Professor and Dark Black. They thrive on thundering drums, heavy riffs, spectral solos and catchy choruses that come from the band’s musical concoction of occult science and bong rips. HUNTRESS remains true to the roots of melodic heavy metal with a penchant for thrash, death and black metal.

LORD DYING Premiere New Song

LORD DYING come from Portland, Oregon, a place over abundant with purveyors of the heavy riff.  A region where the inhabitants are plagued with nerve and joint damage due to lack of sunlight. In a time where everyone is trying to out-sludge or out-doom each other LORD DYING gives something less than a fuck. They are a metal band with members of Black Elk , Portals, Le Force, and Cremains, who in their short, one year’s time as a band have shared the stage with Red Fang, Down, Unsane, Yob, Valient Thorr, Ghost and many others.

LORD DYING’s debut Summon the Faithless is set for release July 9 via Relapse Records.  The album will be available in CD, LP and digital formats, and is available for pre-order HERE.

LORD DYING unleashed another new track and it is streaming exclusively on Loudwire.  Check out the song Descend Into External.

The song Dreams of Mercy can be streamed at RevolverMag.com the online home of Revolver Magazine HERE.

A lyric video for the track Summoning the Faithless can be streamed HERE.

In addition to the band’s Album Release Show on July 9 in Portland, OR at the White Owl Social Club, and headlining North American tour dates, LORD DYING also announced a summer tour with Howl. The band also confirmed a festival appearance at Phil Anselmo’s inaugural Housecore Horror Film Fest alongside Pig Destroyer, Down, Repulsion and many others!  All dates can be found below.

After releasing a self-titled EP in 7″ form, the dudes kicked it up a notch, heading out on national tours with Witch Mountain followed by a long trek with label-mates Red Fang and Black Tusk. Fast forward to 2013 and LORD DYING are poised to be the new heavyweight champions of metal. Smashing the riffs of High On Fire into the groove of Kylesa, LORD DYING have delivered one of the most impressive metal debuts in a long, long time. A young band that has matured well beyond their years into a fully developed titanic heavy metal machine, LORD DYING’s new album is poised to be one of the best debuts of 2013.

Canadian Power Thrashers SANKTUARY Streaming Upcoming Album

amr_logo_smal_570

Canadian power thrashers Sanktuary are streaming their upcoming debut album Something Fierce at the following location here.

The eight track power thrash thrill ride will be released on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 via Canadian metal label Spread The Metal Records and is available for pre-order here.

Sanktuary_Group

(pictured from left to right) Anders Grasholm – Drums, Cole Hume – Bass, Alan Binger – Vocals/Guitars, Glen Emond – Guitar

Spawning from high school friendship and growing into something much more epic, Sanktuary kicked things off with two back-to-back EPs – 2009′s self-titled release and 2010′s Black Magic Brew – and soon followed that up with a massive move from Whitehorse, Yukon to Halifax, Nova Scotia.

After touring the country following their epic relocation and being faced with a major blow in Toronto that saw their van and nearly all their gear get stolen, Sanktuary turned things around with a third EP in 2011, Tundrastruck (a 3 way split with Black Moor and Metallian), followed by them signing to Spread the Metal Records, which sent them all the way back to Whitehorse to record Something Fierce.
