BLACK TUSK Prepare For Tour, EP Release

BLACK TUSK will return to Europe this autumn to tour on the back of their brand new EP Tend No Wounds. The trio from Savannah, Georgia will be supported on all dates by Fight Amp.

 The band commented:

“BLACK TUSK is excited to be returning to Europe and the UK to support our new EP Tend No Wounds. This will be our first time extensively touring the UK as well and we are excited to see new cities show up on the routing that aren’t usually there. We couldn’t be sharing the stage with a bunch of better dudes than Fight Amp and we are looking forward to slaying some shows and drinking some beers with all our buddies on the other side of the pond!”

Additionally, Brutal Panda Records has repressed the long out-of-print BLACK TUSK / Fight Amp split 7″, featuring artwork from Baroness frontman John Baizley, specifically for the tour.  The split is also available for order here. http://brutalpandarecords.com/shop/black-tusk-fight-amp-split-7-vinyl/

Tend No Wounds is a six track EP that takes you on a twenty minute ride of raging Southern rock and pure adrenaline, providing the perfect stop-gap between their last album  – Set The Dial – and their next. The EP was recorded with producer Phillip Cope (Kylesa, Baroness) at the Jam Room in Columbia, South Carolina. Tend No Wounds will be available in CD, Vinyl and digital formats and can be pre-ordered from the Relapse Records Store HERE.

Additional 4th Annual GWAR-B-Q Details Announced

Slave Pit Inc., creators of GWAR and a slew of other naughty products, today announced new details regarding the summer’s most eagerly anticipated entertainment apocalypse, the 4th Annual GWAR-B-Q, to be held August 17 at Hadad’s Water Park in Richmond, Va. Attendees can now add not one but TWO new social events to be held the same weekend as the GWAR-B-Q – the “B4-B-Q” (to be held the night before at The Canal Club), and the “GWA-fter Party” (after the GWAR-B-Q, for those of you who are morons). In addition, the directors of GWAR’s coveted “Spew-O-Lympics”, a centerpiece event of every GWAR-B-Q, released a statement regarding this year’s event and the incredible prize package some lucky Spew-lympian will ultimately attain. A full feast of fun awaits the teeming masses as Richmond prepares for the most action-packed weekend in the glorious history of the GWAR-B-Q!

Artist Rendition of Typical GWAR Fan Before and After GWAR-B-Q

On Friday, Aug.16, the festivities begin with the “B4-B-Q”, a power-packed line-up of brutal bands to be held at Richmond’s venerated Canal Club, which for the last two years has hosted the Cory Smoot Memorial Show. Admission is FREE to any GWAR-B-Q ticket holder, so be sure to bring a copy of your ticket, or a receipt, or the actual ticket (if you are an idiot). Check the “B4-B-Q” event page on the official GWAR Facebook page for more information.

Hosted by the personal Slaves of Oderus and Balsac, Dave Brockie and Mike Derks, doors open at 7 and the line-up consists of, in no particular order:

Apocalypse Dudes / RVA

U.S. Bastards / RVA

Savage Attack / RVA

Bloody Crackdown / RVA

Red Box Money Cult / Roanoke

Rong / Wilmington

Stuck Backwards / Norfolk

With GWAR, Municipal Waste, Corrosion of Conformity, Pig Destroyer, and the reunion of the legendary X-Cops, this years’ bill is possibly the greatest yet assembled in the blood-spattered history of GWAR’s ever-expanding festival. So this year’s Spew-O-Lympics intends to match this majesty with the most epic contest yet conceived, with events scheduled to include the “King of the Swing”, “Beware of the Blob”, with the climactic battle for supremacy (and valuable prizes) waged on the  “Sperm and Slide”. This years contest will be limited to a lucky 25 entrants, who must sign-up in advance via GWAR’s Facebook page. Look for more details on the official GWAR Facebook page .

And if that’s not enough filthy fun for you, the fine folks at Slave Pit have scheduled one last event that should satiate even the most unappeasable bohab’s desire to bask in the dubious glory of all things GWAR–the “GWA-fter Party”. Held on Saturday, August 17 at Balliceaux, in Richmond, VA., and hosted by the internationally matchless DJ Pari, the event is free not only to GWAR-B-Q ticket holders but also everybody else in the entire world. Doors are at ten, and look for more information at the “GWA-fter Party” events page on the official GWAR Facebook page/

Smarter, stronger and musically tighter than ever, FATALITY is now ready to unleash their sophomore album Psychonauta darker and more mature effort, Fatality bring forth their trademark energy and commitment to drunken mayhem. Tracks like Thoughts Collide and Before The Collapse delve deep into the sodden minds of their creators, bubbling with the strange alchemy of pop culture. Psychonaut is an exploration of the inner landscape of the mind, where addled thoughts and horror-polluted dreams are held up to musical scrutiny. Monstrous, ambitious, and sardonically funny as ever, FATALITY are taking their unique sound and boundless energy to the next level.

To fund their new album, tour and music video FATALITY launched an album pre-sale through crowd funding platform Indiegogo.com linked to http://fatality.ca. Successfully receiving over $3,500 in the first week, fans continue to support the campaign and album through this new initiative.

DOWNFALL OF GAIA Set For U.S. Tour

DOWNFALL OF GAIA will be hitting the road across the states, with dates beginning on August 16. The confirmed dates can be found below, as well as at facebook.com/downfallofgaia.
The critically-acclaimed album, Suffocating in the Swarm of Cranes, was released in October of 2012. The music video for In the Rivers Bleak can be streamed at metalblade.com/downfallofgaia. The video was filmed by John Bradburn and Andy Paton and, according to DOWNFALL OF GAIA, was filmed “on a rainy English night and delivers in a perfect way the mood we tried to capture on this record. It’s completely filmed in black and white and it’s a view right inside the story of our new record.”

Additionally, a limited number of Europe-imported gatefold double LPs are still available. Check them HERE.

“Downfall of Gaia make a huge statement with what could be one of the finest post metal records in recent memory” – SputnikMusic.com

“Pitted somewhere between modern psychedelic black metal and barbed doom of Neurosis, there’s a cold smother to Downfall of Gaia’s sound that envelopes you like an iron winter fog. With a pallet so rich in shades of grey, Downfall of Gaia have crafted Suffocating in The Swarm of Cranes to be as evocative as it is desolate” – Terrorizer Magazine

“There isn’t a dull moment of this release, even the moody parts are fraught with tension as you wait for some sort of impending release whether it’s a hardcore crust beatdown or breathtaking black hued blasting peak, fraught with emotion” – TeethOfTheDivine.com
