Shadowside, one of the most important names of Brazilian heavy metal, is preparing to end the fans’ anxiety. The band has recently declared they are already working on ideas for a new album, follower of the successful Inner Monster Out.
After a successful European tour supporting Helloween and Gamma Ray and a series of praised performances in Brazil, Brazilian band Shadowside is thinking of the follower their most fruitful album to date, “Inner Monster Out”, considered by Roadie Crew magazine one of the most important releases of Brazilian heavy metal history.
The band has declared on several interviews that they are working on ideas for their new album.
“We’ve been talking about this new material since the Hellish Rock tour and renown producer Fredrik Nordström is already aware of our intention of working with him again,” said guitarist Raphael Mattos.
Vocalist Dani Nolden highlighted the band’s growth.
“We’ve played a lot of shows, over 60 on this last tour, we’ve grown more mature and I believe we’ll come up with something even better.”
Inner Monster Out was considered by the fans and specialized media as one of the best records released in 2011/2012.
Some of the album’s achievements were:
– Winner of the 11th Independent Music Awards, one of the most important awards of independent music, by popular voting on the category Best Metal/Hardcore album. Past winners include Lacuna Coil and All that Remains.
– 26th best selling album in Japan according to BURRN! magazine, appearing in front of names such as Nightwish, Shinedown, Evanescence and Lamb of God.
– 9th position on CMJ Top 40 Loud Rock charts. The album remained on the top 15 for 6 weeks in a row and top 10 for 2 weeks in a row. CMJ is the primary source for exclusive charts of non-commercial and college radio airplay.
Even with their minds on this new material, Shadowside doesn’t feel like leaving the stages yet.
They are still booking dates for the second leg of the Brazilian tour and available for shows worldwide.
