HPGD Productions Announce SEPTORY, SADISTIK FOREST Split Album

Horror Pain Gore Death ProductionsHorror Pain Gore Death Productions will release a split CD between Russia’s premiere Death Metal band SEPTORY and Finland’s own SADISTIK FOREST (featuring Markus Makkonen of HOODED MENACE). This CD is part of the HPGD “Price Slasher” series and will be released on June 25.

Below is the official description:

Horror Pain Gore Death Productions brings together two of the sickest Death Metal bands in the world for a killer split! Septory are the fastest rising Death Metal band in Russia at the moment. Featuring members of cult Death Metal act Bestial Deform and Black Metal horde Khashm, their brand of traditional yet innovative Death Metal is highly recommended for fans of Deicide, Vader and early Cannibal Corpse. After releasing the Rotting Humanity EP in 2006, Septory put out their crushing debut World War Chaos in 2008, followed by the destructive Seductive Art Profane in 2011. Their strong HPGD debut features a deadly collection of new anthems of evil, old school Death Metal and includes a cover of Bestial Deform’s Three Days Since Dead. An absolutely crushing offering!

Finland’s Sadistik Forest is Death Metal four piece from Oulu and includes Markus Makkonen of Hooded Menace on vocals/bass. The band has often been compared to such names as Bolt Thrower, Morbid Angel, Terrorizer, Vader, Napalm Death, Sodom and early Sepultura. Relentless, punishing and unforgiving, their aural assault is a concoction of early 90’s Death Metal, Grindcore and 80’s Thrash. After releasing their self-titled debut in 2010, SF released the brutal Death, Doom, Radiation in 2012. This recording features three brand new originals and a cover version of the Seth Putnam‘s/Thor’s collabaration Throwing Cars at People (On Coke With Thor). This is the 4th entry in the Price Slasher series that delivers high quality sickness at the lowest price possible. Prepare to headbang!

Free Scion A/V EP Featuring VEKTOR

Scion A/V, the creative enterprise of Scion devoted to the discovery, nurture, funding and distribution of compelling music and arts programming today releases a special two track, 15 minute EP featuring the scintillating sounds of Philadelphia sci-fi thrash metal band VEKTOR. Recorded this past January at The Glass House in Pomona, California as part of the Scion-presented Earache Records label showcase (that also featured Oceano, Bonded By Blood and White Wizzard), the free EP features VEKTOR performing the mind-obliterating tracks Cosmic Cortex and Tetrastructural Minds. The EP is available as a free download now at ScionAV.com.

“Earache has introduced metal fans to many great bands over the years,” comments Jeri Yoshizu, manager of sales promotion for Scion.

“Vektor is a band that creates metal for fans of metal. We’re happy to work with them on this release.”

VEKTOR formed in 2002 in Tempe, Arizona and quickly established a name for itself by embracing heavy metal’s past while carving out an original niche; combining thrash with elements of black metal and progressive rock. The band’s labyrinthine songs question reality and existence while at the same time portraying the future as a dystopian wasteland destroyed by greed, power, corruption and control. Weird time signatures, banshee wails, eerie jazzy passages, over the top soloing and frontman David DiSanto’s banshee calls intertwine into cohesive, atom-smashing assaults that move from intricate progressive playing to breakneck thrashing in the blink of an eye. With vicious musicianship, complex composition and futuristic sci-fi themes, VEKTOR recalls the glory days of Voivod, Watchtower and Coroner as its herculean sound challenges the parameters of modern heavy metal.

VEKTOR EP tracklist:

1.) Cosmic Cortex (9:40)
2.) Tetrastructural Minds (5:27)

Earache Records was founded in 1987 by Digby “Dig” Pearson. The seminal UK label has launched the careers of many acts now widely considered pioneers of extreme metal including Napalm Death, Carcass, At The Gates, Morbid Angel, Cathedral, Bolt Thrower, Godflesh and Entombed and had a heavy hand in exposing underground music fans to the realms of death metal and grindcore music. Earache is currently celebrating more then two decades of bringing extreme music to the masses.

Horror Pain Gore Death Productions To Release MASTER 15th Anniversary Album

Official 15th Anniversary Edition reissue of the classic Master album, Faith Is In Season. Master is the most well-known project of bassist, vocalist and songwriter Paul Speckmann. Prominent in the early Extreme Metal underground as one of the first Death Metal bands, they are also one of the most influential artists alongside Death and Possessed.

Master

Master helped invent the genre of Grindcore as well, expanding on a heavy influence of Motorhead, Venom and Slayer. Originally released by Pavement Music on April 7 1998, Faith Is In Season marks the true return to brutality for the band. Thick bass reproduction stands out on this raw, muscular recording as well as lyrical content that is full of visceral emotion and antisocial resistance.

BOLT THROWER Announce U.S. Tour

Bolt Thrower have continued their ‘quality not quantity’ approach to playing live and that has definitely paid off. In 2010 they played a number of shows and festivals across Europe, and from playing more intimate underground shows (in keeping with their roots), they can also pull off playing to a festival crowd of 30,000 people. That’s why, as they reached and moved beyond their 25th Anniversary, Bolt Thrower are still at the top of their game.

Finally, after only a handful of North American dates in the past few years, limited to Maryland Deathfest, Bolt Thrower announced the Return To Chaos tour. The band will perform seven shows across the US in May. The confirmed dates are listed on the TOUR DATES page.

Bolt Thrower adds:

“And it’s our pleasure to announce that for all the club shows we’ll be sharing the stage with our fellow compatriots Benediction; and for the Pomona and Oakland shows we’ll also be joined by the mighty Autopsy!”

More Bolt Thrower vinyl for has been pressed for North America. Those who missed out on Those Once Loyal, Honour Valour Pride, and Mercenary last time around can now order vinyl on indiemerch.com/metalbladerecords.

Prosthetic Records Sign NERO DI MARTE

PROSTHETIC RECORDS are proud to announce the signing of experimental metallers NERO DI MARTE.

Founded in Bologna, Italy in 2007, NERO DI MARTE will unveil their long-awaited self-titled release, a unique and experimental approach to structure, sound and atmosphere, in the spring of 2013. You can check out  a teaser video of the new album below:

Watch the Video

Vocalist/guitarist Sean Worrell commented,

“We are absolutely thrilled and honored to be working with Prosthetic Records, a label which has had and still has some of the most amazing bands out there. We are very thankful to them and can’t wait for you all to hear our album, the release of which is long overdue. We will hopefully see you on the road during 2013!”

Duncan Dinsdale, European label manager of PROSTHETIC RECORDS, added,

“It’s a rarity to discover such an exciting and forward-thinking new band that equally balances texture, heaviness, intelligence and perfect musicianship as Nero Di Marte does with ease. We’re very excited for you to hear the upcoming new album shortly.”

Nero di Marte is the Italian name of a pigment, an iron oxide that produces a deep, dark, intense black that, when in contact with other colors, can permanently coat or noticeably transform them. Formerly known as Murder Therapy, the band signed to Dutch label Deity Down Records to release their debut Symmetry of Delirium in 2009, which showcased a very personal style of modern death metal. They have played numerous shows and festivals around Italy and Europe, including performances with major acts such as Cynic, Decapitated, The Ocean, Intronaut, Ulcerate, Svart Crown, Red Fang, Jucifer, The Secret and more. The group also performed at the prestigious Neurotic Deathfest in Tilburg (NL) with Carcass, Immolation, Six Feet Under, Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower and Origin among many others.

The band’s broadened approach to songwriting was already audible in the 2010 self-released EP Molochian, which marked a stylistical step forward towards more progressive and atmospheric compositions. The following year, the group entered the studio to work on their new album. It was recorded in roughly nine days at Regrexion Studios with Michele Trasforini and then mixed and mastered at Studio73 in Ravenna with producer Riccardo “Paso” Pasini (Ephel Duath, The Secret, Extrema, At the Soundawn).

During the summer of 2012 the band decided to change its name to Nero di Marte, the name their new album was originally given; they now have a few shows in Italy to finish up the year, including dates with Norway’s Virus and are planning to tour extensively in 2013 to promote the record.
