KONGH Single Available As Free Download

What’s possibly the most emotional and one of the best written compositions in KONGH’s discography, can now be downloaded for free from Soundcloud. The 4th and final song from the Sludge/Doom Swedes Sole Creation album, poetically entitled Skymning, featuring a great clean vocal line by David Johansson, can be downloaded (or streamed) now (click image above).

Quoted as “taxing, dangerous and by all means exciting” by The Metal Observer as well as “a chest-puffing good time” by Decibel Magazine, Sole Creation by KONGH is available now on Agonia Records.

The album consists of 4 new tracks and 45 minutes of music, with a guest appearance of John Doe from Craft. It was recorded at Teknikkompaniet (Vetlanda, Sweden) by Peter Lundin; mixed and mastered by Magnus Lindberg of Cult Of Luna fame.

THE MOTH GATHERER Premieres New Song

A second song from the Swedish Experimental/Progressive band THE MOTH GATHERER found its way on-line.

An action shot from band’s first video clip, to be released March 18

The song itself can be streamed or embedded using this direct SoundCloud link: https://soundcloud.com/agoniarecords/thewomb-thewoe-thewoman

The Womb, The Woe, The Woman is the second track unveiled from the band’s upcoming debut album entitled A Bright Celestial Light via Agonia Records. The album will hit the shops worldwide on April 16. The first song can be listened to at this location: https://soundcloud.com/agoniarecords/the-moth-gatherer-premiere

A Bright Celestial Light was mastered by Karl Daniel Liden (Terra Tenebrosa, Grammy nominated Switchblade album) and will feature a guest appearance from Member 001 of The Konsortium fame. The tracklist (5 original tracks, 44 minutes of playing time) is as follows:

1. The Water That We All Come To Need
2. Intervention
3. A Road of Gravel and Skulls
4. The Womb, The Woe, The Woman
5. A Falling Deity

THE MOTH GATHERER’s music is hard to label, due to band’s non-one-dimensional approach towards the songs they create; the Experimental/Progressive etiquette seems almost too laconic to fully do justice to the spirit of the compositions. The debut offers up long and complex tracks, but still surprisingly simple and compelling. Abundance of tempo changes and variations that surround the album bask in emotionally charged, progressive yet utterly melodic slower-sections, addictive enough to stimulate the imagination.

The band is recommended for fans of Neurosis, Breach, Pelican and Cult of Luna.

THE OCEAN To Release New Albumin 2013

2013 will be a busy year for THE OCEAN. The band will release a new album on April 26 (GSA), April 29 (Europe) and April 30 (USA) 2013 on Metal Blade Records, the follow-up to the critically acclaimed Heliocentric and Anthropocentric albums (2010).

To support the release, THE OCEAN will embark on a 3 weeks European tour with CULT OF LUNA in April and May (dates further below), including a performance at Roadburn Festival on April 20.

The new album will be a single album containing 52 minutes of new music. It will be mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia) in January and will come in 2 versions: instrumental and with vocals.

Comments THE OCEAN’s Robin Staps:

The album was originally written to be instrumental, but in the end me and Loic couldn’t help but try out a few things vocal-wise and we soon got pretty excited… so there will be vocals on the album; however, we want everyone to have both versions, and we are also planning to perform the album live that way – with and without vocals.”

The special edition of the album will be released along with a film by Craig Murray (Nine Inch Nails).

The 3xDVD Collective Oblivion has been postponed for a release later in the year, but shall also see the light of day in 2013.

THE OCEAN and LO! have both been confirmed to play Roadburn Festival 2013 and as support acts on the upcoming tour of CULT OF LUNA.
