DEVILDRIVER Release Additional Album Info

DEVILDRIVER will be releasing their new studio album, Winter Kills in Japan on August 28 via Metal Blade Japan/Howling Bull Entertainment. The band recorded in Florida at Audio Hammer Studios and vocals in Los Angeles, CA at Dez’s home studio with Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, All That Remains) handling production duties.

Winter Kills set for August 28 release date in Japan

DEVILDRIVER frontman Dez FaFara comments;

“I am thrilled to be in business with Brian Slagel and his Metal Blade team in Japan. To be associated with a person and company as respected, successful, and passionate as they are compliment my work ethic and passion to a tee. Sometimes it’s about the company you keep and DevilDriver could not be in better company in Japan.

Hail Dez”

The artwork for Winter Kills features a photograph by Dean Karr with the layout handled by Ryan Clark/Invisible Creature.

DEVILDRIVER worked with Lewis previously on Beast and The Last Kind Words and producer Mark Lewis’s prolific leadership of the new school of metal has yet again helped DEVILDRIVER deliver another Epic heavy Metal record. This record melds what the band does best. In your face power as well as the California Groove sound the band pioneered.

“This is by far DEVILDRIVER’s most cohesive, powerful, groove laden record to date! We delivered our signature California Groove sound alongside a Raw and Biting guitar tone, mixed it with massive hooks, added in thunderous drums to rethink, and reshape another different sounding unique piece of Rock-N-Roll! Cutting our own path is something to be proud of. DEVILDRIVER has always and will forever be about thinking outside the box and delivering on something different from record to record, we cannot be assimilated into any scene or even genre of Metal and we will continue to do things our own way with a massive middle finger in the air to the status quo!”

Hail RockNRoll

Dez FaFara

DEVILDRIVER has always been a band on a three-pronged mission: Work hard, rock harder, and kick as many asses as possible in the process. The band tours forever and has since its beginnings. Their live performances and circle pits are as legendary as their music.

The band will be hitting the road worldwide in support of Winter Kills. Touring as always will be a focal point for the band. The US can expect to see them this fall and winter with Europe and the rest of the globe coming in 2014 and beyond.

photo

Marking their first U.S. live performances in over 10 years, 90’s alt-metal band COAL CHAMBER is pleased to announce that they are back in action and kicking off a co-headline tour with Sevendust this spring. The tour will also feature special guests Lacuna Coil as direct support on each date, as well as Candlelight Red and Stolen Babies opening (see the split below).

Each member of COAL CHAMBER had words to share about the announcement.

“I’m STOKED to be bringing COAL CHAMBER back to the United States,” exclaims vocalist Dez Fafara.

“These shows are going to fucking rule! The line-up is perfect! Hope to see you all there!”

“The past has fuelled the fire to bring COAL CHAMBER back stronger than ever,” adds drummer Mike Cox.

“I couldn’t be more excited to tour the states on an amazing tour. HERE WE GO!”

“I’m really excited and grateful to be a part of such an awesome bill! We will be slaying it across America and the world,” adds guitarist Meegs Rascón.

Bassist Chela Rhea Harper states,

“America is where COAL CHAMBER started; where the music first came to life.  The entire experience in Australia and South America has been so surreal up until this point, and to be able to continue this adventure on the band’s home soil is an honor. The support from all has been tremendous.”
