Black metal masters ROTTING CHRIST debuted the title track from their forthcoming album, ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΑ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ (Do What Thou Wilt). Click here is listen to Kata Ton Daimona Eaftou.

The new album personifies the legendary Greek band’s profound and majestic metal, which honors both their Greek heritage as well as ancient cultures worldwide. Furthermore, the band embellishes their signature dark metal on KATA TON DAIMONA EAYTOY (Do What Thou Wilt) with Sumerian and Incan poetry and as well as flourishes from Romanian folk song, and lyrics inspired by tales of undead Russian water spirits, Voodoo, Zoroastrianism and other sources.

Founder/Guitarist/Frontman, Sakis Tolis revealed in an interview with Soundshock.com:

 

“I’m very satisfied with this new album. I find It is very important for me to have a unique sound, (ROTTING CHRIST) doesn’t want to sound like anyone else. You are going to read a lot of different lyrics in different languages-strange and ancient languages; it’s something different…”

ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΑ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ (Do What Thou Wilt), set for a North American release on March 5, will be available as a CD, double gate-fold LP, and a limited edition Digibox including a pendant in a velvet bag, a flag, and a Digipak CD with the bonus track Welcome to Hel.

Black metal masters ROTTING CHRIST debuted the opening track, In Yumen – Xibalba from ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΑ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ (Do What Thou Wilt)

ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΝ ΔΑΙΜΟΝΑ ΕΑΥΤΟΥ (Do What Thou Wilt) proves to be ROTTING CHRIST’s darkest output to date, and links the band to their heritage as pioneers of black metal. From underground heroes to international headliner status, the Greek band brings together elements from death, heavy and gothic metal with a rich native element that never betrays their dark roots. The album takes this  progression even further as ROTTING CHRIST forge their own sound, and augment it with female vocals, and a wide array of instrumentation. Their long years of composing and experience show unwavering confidence and maturity.

Regarding the new album, ROTTING CHRIST frontman Sakis Tolis recently revealed in an interview with Kaaoszine

“It is an album that I have been working on for more than a year. It was recorded in Athens and mixed in Sweden with Jens Bogren (AMON AMARTH, OPETH, KATATONIA). I came up with our darkest outcome ever. It’s an interesting album, very apocryphal. Its a multinational album; it is about underworld Gods inspired by different ancient cultures.”

German Black metallers IMPERIUM DEKADENZ set Meadows of Nostalgia as the title of their forthcoming album. The follow-up to 2010’s successful Procella Vadens will be released on March 15 (March 19 in North America).

Cover artwork and the various formats will be unveiled at a later date.

IMPERIUM DEKADENZ previous album, Procella Vadens is available on Season of Mist’s e-shop in Digipak edition.

THE CASUALTIES Announce Final Dates Of 2012

New York City street punks THE CASUALTIES are finishing off 2012 with two East Coast shows in support of their Season of Mist records release, Resistance.

The first gig is a headline show set for December 22 at Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Massachusettes with support from Burning Streets and Penalty Kill.

The second gig is part of the Bouncing Souls Annual Home For The Holidays show December 28 at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, New Jersey.
Resistance is available on CD, limited edition LP (with bonus track and download card) and limited edition Digibox including the CD with a bonus track, bandanna, bottle opener and patch.
