CATTLE DECAPITATION To Release 7″ Single

CATTLE DECAPITATION will be releasing a 7″ single this summer! Your Disposal features the B-side, An Exposition of Insides, which was previously available only as a Japanese bonus track on the band’s most recent album, Monolith of Inhumanity. The single is available (both black and clear vinyl) for order on-line on indiemerchstore.com for $5.50, as well as in a bundle with a t-shirt for $18.99. Pick up your copy of the single HERE, and check out the t-shirt bundle HERE. Fans attending this year’s The Summer Slaughter Tour can grab their copy at the band’s merch booth throughout the tour.

7″ available via indiemerchstore.com and at the band’s merch table on tour

Vocalist Travis Ryan comments:

“We noticed a lot of people were dismayed to find out there was a track available out there on a Japanese version of Monolith of Inhumanity that nobody outside of Japan had ever heard before. When it hit YouTube, that’s when we started getting emails from fans. We noticed the lyrics weren’t inside that version or available anywhere at all so that gave us the idea of throwing it on a b-side and releasing a 7″ vinyl single for Your Disposal with the song An Exposition of Insides! We feel that Monolith is the mother of all of our releases so far and I thought it’d be funny to make it look like she just squirted out a baby and that’s what this little guy looks like. Just in time for Summer Slaughter!”

The most extreme tour of the year has returned with its most devastating and anticipated line-up yet. It features such heavyweights as The Dillinger Escape PlanAnimals As LeadersPeripheryNorma JeanCattle DecapitationThe OceanRevocationAeon and two bands TBA. THE OCEAN Prepares For Summer Slaughter

Progressive sound contortionists THE OCEAN will return to North America as part of the seventh annual Summer Slaughter Tour later this month. Presented by Indie Merch Store, ESP and Guitar World, the band levels stages nightly alongside The Dillinger Escape Plan, Animals As Leaders, Periphery, Norma Jean, Cattle Decapitation, Revocation, Aeon and more. Following their Stateside takeover, THE OCEAN will play select shows throughout Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Russia with an additional European sprint in the Fall to be announced in the coming weeks.

Comments guitarist Robin Staps,

“We’re stoked to get out on the road again! When I started this band 12 years ago, I would have never expected that it would eventually become possible for us one day, to play shows in Sichuan, China, or near the Baikal Lake in Siberia. These will be our first shows ever in Mexico and Taiwan, too. Good times ahead, see you people out there on one of these continents tasting your local beer and food!”

In the meantime, check out a clip of vocalist Loïc Rossetti performing with Dillinger in 2010 HERE and HERE.

THE OCEAN will be touring in support of Pelagial, their critically lauded, maritime-themed studio offering, which entered the Billboard Heatseekers Chart at #10 upon its first week of release!

Their most profound work to date, Pelagial is a 53-minute exploratory composition written, recorded, mixed and intended to-be-performed-live as one single piece of music. Centered around all five pelagic depth zones – epipelagic, mesopelagic, bathyalpelagic, abyssopelagic, and hadopelagic – Pelagial purposefully submerges its listeners into an aquatic journey that is at once tranquil and terrifying. Pelagial begins rather light and becomes progressively heavier and slower as the band reaches the unfathomable depths of the hadopelagic zone, characterized by complete darkness and a thousandfold increased pressure as compared to surface level.

Said Decibel Magazine,

“Where the band was once steeped in sludgy noise/metalcore with orchestral interludes, they’ve become more luxurious, experimental and textural. Pelagial further continues that shift, working on multi-tiered levels and drawing from DEP-inspired chaos, Opeth-like moods and Between The Buried And Me genre fiddling. It’s an album that strives to be all things at once without crossing into a ‘look-at-me’ mess.”

Order your copy of Pelagial at: http://www.theoceancollective.com/pelagial. Additionally, you can nab special THE OCEAN Pelagial World Tour 2013 T-shirts and posters via Pelagic Records at the following locations http://www.pelagic-records.com/tshirts and http://www.pelagic-records.com/poster.

“The sixth album from German post-metal doombringers THE OCEAN is huge… In the course of the record, tender piano interludes get stomped on by Mastodon-shaped footprints, lush strings work next to bulldozing double-kick work, and, at the end, the submarine crashes at Melvins tempos”Spin

Pelagial resonates so deeply because its sonic continuity is matched with shifting, unified composition. THE OCEAN Release New Single

Progressive sound revolutionists THE OCEAN present Bathyalpelagic III: Disequillibrated from their anticipated forthcoming new masterwork, Pelagial.

Easily their most profoundly sophisticated work to date, Pelagial is a true sonic journey written, recorded, mixed and to-be-performed-live as one single 53-minute piece of music. The concept of the album is made evident in its title, Pelagial. Listeners are quite literally submersed as they journey with the band, beginning at the surface of the ocean and plunging through all five pelagic depth zones: epipelagic, mesopelagic, bathyalpelagic, abyssopelagic, and hadopelagic.

“The sixth album from German post-metal doombringers THE OCEAN is huge… In the course of the record, tender piano interludes get stomped on by Mastodon-shaped footprints, lush strings work next to bulldozing double-kick work, and, at the end, the submarine crashes at Melvins tempos” – Spin Magazine

Mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Witchcraft) at Fascination Street Studios in Örebrö, Sweden, Pelagial will be released as a double CD, which includes a vocal and an instrumental version of the album and is scheduled for release on April 26/29 (Europe) and April 30 (North America/world) through Metal Blade Records.

Plunge deep into the currents of Bathyalpelagic III: Disequillibrated, at metalblade.com/theocean where you’ll also find studio footage and pre-order info.

Cattle Decapitation vocalist Travis Ryan adds:

“We are very happy to be asked back to the Summer Slaughter Tour. The first SS tour was the best US tour we’ve ever done and we look forward to helping devastate the states with our take on brutal, grinding death and playing the choicest slabs from our latest album Monolith of Inhumanity. Who’s “ripe for the slaughter!?!?” See you this summer!”

Daniel Dlimi of Aeon comments:

“Yes, we are finally going to tour the US and we are really fucking stoked about it to say the least. And there couldn’t possibly be any better way to do so than to be a part of the Summer Slaughter Tour. And with today’s line-up and our latest release Aeons Black we stand stronger than ever and will treat you with some real death metal. See you on the road.”

Ash Avildsen, founder of Summer Slaughter on this year’s edition of the tour:

“It’s year seven and I think 2013’s line-up is the most exciting and diverse yet. Slaughter has never been a one dimensional experience for fans. This year is a true testament to that as we have an amazing mix of extreme music’s influential icons and leaders of the new school. Let the underground unite!”

Greg Puciato (DEP vocalist) states:

“We can’t wait to get back on the road! We’re launching a US tour in the spring, hitting Europe for some festivals and club shows, and then hitting several more cities with Summer Slaughter all summer long. We are absolutely amped. After being holed up in the studio for such a long time giving birth to One of Us is the Killer, we are all pent up and ready to share material new and old with our supporters doing what we love to do the most. Can’t wait to see and either kiss or rip off each and every one of your faces on the road with Summer Slaughter and year round, everywhere.”

Shawn Keith, tour coproducer:

“I’m looking forward to extinguishing fires and putting clubs back together each night following DEP’s set. Let the Slaughter begin!”

Additionally, guitarists Greg Burgess and Ryan Glisan can be seen in a guitar demonstration video for Tartessos: The Hidden Xenocryst here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUdEpaILWOg.

You can hear the Formshifter tracks, Tartessos: The Hidden Xenocryst and Twelve on The Welding Room.

“Now this is metal worth getting excited about. Formshifter has thrown down a gauntlet to metal bands everywhere and dared them to do better” – Kerrang Magazine

“But the members of Allegaeon are so monstrously talented—see the entwined guitar harmonics, machine-gun drumming, and even the occasional, not insufferably acoustic interlude on the group’s heavily NWOBHM-shaded second LP, Formshifter—that they dig their way out of the doldrums of mere proficiency.” – AVClub.com

“The huge walls of crushing low tuned chugging and burning shred passages are awesome, but ultimately it’s the band’s ability of being able to really put together catchy heavy tracks that sets them above the rest of the pack.” – About.com

PRESS RELEASE:

Bloody Hammers – self titled debut

Charlotte, North Carolina occult rock band BLOODY HAMMERS will release its debut album Bloody Hammers on November 23 in Europe via Soulseller Records (February 3, 2013 in North America via Soulseller Records, distributed by RED). Described as “an addictive album with a retro edge that appeals to both the Nick Cave and Black Sabbath sides of the brain,” Bloody Hammers was recorded and produced by bassist / vocalist Anders Manga at NC’s Greystone Studios. Today, AOL Music‘s Noisecreep gives music fans the first taste of BLOODY HAMMERS‘ infectious power, premiering the album’s lead track “Witch of Endor“. Crank your speakers and hammer your mind out to “Witch of Endor” at this location.

The world of heavy music is quickly taking note of BLOODY HAMMERS‘ underground sound. Check out new interviews with the band via Revolver and Guitar World for more insight into this cult crew’s metallic mindset.

Named in homage to the singularly atomic Roky Erickson & The Aliens song of the same name, BLOODY HAMMERS play dark, hallucinatory heavy music that is as primitive and powerful as a dry stone wall and propelled by bassist Anders MangaBLOODY HAMMERS‘ full length debut is an explosion of heavy sound and melodies that has been called “a psych / hard rock / horror fan’s dream come true” and is sure to find favor with music fans who can dig an array of dark sounds from Electric Wizard and Acid Bath to Alice Cooper and David Bowie to Joy Division and Bauhaus. The self-titled LP captures the band’s strong display of dooming riffs, dashboard-pounding grooves and vocals that segue from angry wail to soaring croon while warning listeners of impending doom. Headed to a black mass love-in? BLOODY HAMMERS‘ debut is for you. Pre-orders for the limited edition CD and LP versions of the album will begin on November 23 at this location.

“This album is a heavy and melodic collection of evil songs, and I could not be happier with the result,” says Manga. “Stylistically, I wanted to make a horror fueled hard rock album and this debut LP reflects that very sentiment and much more.”

BLOODY HAMMERS is: Anders Manga (Vocals, Bass), Devallia (Organ), Jarrett Bury(Guitar) and Curse (Drums).
