SHADOWSIDE Gathering New Album Ideas

Shadowside, one of the most important names of Brazilian heavy metal, is  preparing to end the fans’ anxiety. The band has recently declared they are  already working on ideas for a new album, follower of the successful Inner Monster Out.
After a successful European tour supporting Helloween and Gamma Ray and a  series of praised performances in Brazil, Brazilian band Shadowside is thinking  of the follower their most fruitful album to date, “Inner Monster Out”,  considered by Roadie Crew magazine one of the most important releases of  Brazilian heavy metal history.
The band has declared on several interviews that they are working on ideas  for their new album.
“We’ve been talking about this new material since the  Hellish Rock tour and renown producer Fredrik Nordström is already aware of our  intention of working with him again,” said guitarist Raphael Mattos.
Vocalist Dani Nolden highlighted the band’s growth.
“We’ve played a lot of shows, over 60  on this last tour, we’ve grown more mature and I believe we’ll come up with  something even better.”
Inner Monster Out was considered by the fans and specialized media as one  of the best records released in 2011/2012.
Some of the album’s achievements were:
– Winner of the 11th Independent Music Awards, one of the most important  awards of independent music, by popular voting on the category Best  Metal/Hardcore album. Past winners include Lacuna Coil and All that  Remains.
– 26th best selling album in Japan according to BURRN! magazine, appearing  in front of names such as Nightwish, Shinedown, Evanescence and Lamb of  God.
– 9th position on CMJ Top 40 Loud Rock charts. The album remained on the  top 15 for 6 weeks in a row and top 10 for 2 weeks in a row. CMJ is the primary  source for exclusive charts of non-commercial and college radio airplay.

Even with their minds on this new material, Shadowside doesn’t feel like  leaving the stages yet.
They are still booking dates for the second leg of the Brazilian tour and available for shows worldwide.
Concert promoters interested in booking the band should contact contato@furiamusic.com.br for shows in Latin America and info@b-musik-management.de for shows worldwide.

PARADISE LOST’s Nick Holmes (vocals) comments:

“When the opportunity came up for us to re-record ‘Gothic’, we were really pleased because it meant that we could finally do the song justice (production wise) and Simon Efemey had the chance to give it his polish. ‘Gothic’ has often been considered a bench mark in our early career and it was good to revisit it.”

Frontman Johannes Eckerström adds his own words about the new video:

“The video illustrates inner conflict in an explicit manner, using abuse of unjust power in different contexts. The lyrical themes of downfall, embracing of decadence and failed attempts to escape are pointed out by the fact that ultimately the bad guys win.”

The band kicks off their very first U.S. tour supporting LACUNA COIL and SEVENDUST with an intimate performance at The Studio at Webster Hall in New York City on Wednesday, January 30.
