TRAP THEM Release Fan-Filmed Live Footage

Hailed by Revolver as their “most dangerous declaration to date…contain(ing) some of the catchiest songs they’ve ever written,” TRAP THEM‘s long-awaited sophomore Prosthetic release “Blissfucker” is available now! A limited-edition clear vinyl variant is now available at independent record shops throughout America, so make sure to check your local shop to scoop one up before they’re gone! Last week, the crust/punk/hardcore quartet performed live at the annual Copenhell Fest in Denmark. You can view a fan-filmed clip of TRAP THEM performing their new song “Lungrunners” from the festival below:

Having teamed up once again with Kurt Ballou (Converge, Skeletonwitch) — who previously recorded the band’s groundbreaking 2011 release “Darker Handcraft” — TRAP THEM founders Ryan McKenney (vocals) and Brian Izzi (guitars) recorded “Blissfucker” at Godcity Studios with the addition of Brad Fickiesen (drums) and Galen Baudhuin (bass). “Blissfucker” contains 45 minutes of unrestrained, unmedicated, unapologetic displays of depression, desperation and blasphemy.

TRAP THEM will perform select dates along the East Coast over the summer, including both nights of this year’s Deathwish Fest alongside Converge. A full list of appearances can be found below:

DEW-SCENTED Release New Video Teaser

German thrashers DEW-SCENTED released an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the recording of the song, Guided By The Dead Light, one of the new tracks off of their upcoming 20th anniversary anthology Insurgent. Check out the studio footage below or via YouTube.

Lauded as “one of the most determined and deadly thrash metal acts in recent history with one of the finest metal releases of 2013″ (Alibi), the band will release their 19-track, 76-minute compilation Insurgent in North America on Tuesday (28) via Prosthetic Records. DEW-SCENTED were recently supporting thrash legends Testament on their European tour, after which they were featured on the Full Metal Cruise alongside Doro, Kreator, Sabaton and several others. The band will play a slew of European festival dates throughout the summer including the prestigious Wacken Open Air alongside Anthrax, Rammstein and Meshuggah, to name just a few.

SPREAD THE METAL FESTIVAL Line-Up Announced

amr_logo_smal_570This September 7 and 8, Spread the Metal Records will host the annual Spread the Metal Festival in Toronto, ON.

The festival will see 100% of its profits donated to Kiva, a non-profit organization, which helps people around the world to lift themselves out of poverty.

Headlining the festival will be Suffocation, with additional headliners to be announced at a later date. Direct support will be provided by The Agonist, Augury and Skull Fist.

Additional support bands include Beheading of a King, The Catalyst, Edge of Attack, Deathpoint, Crimson Shadows, Nephelium, Hallows Die, Evertrapped, Answer With Metal and Sanktuary.
To complement the festival itself, the label is launching a crowd funding campaign in order to raise additional funds for Kiva.

Among the perks are signed albums and set lists from every band at the festival (including some that aren’t), guitar picks, album downloads, etc. As well, fans will have the chance to attend the sound check, hang out with the headliner of their choice, and even punch a record label exec!
