Scott Ian, John Tempesta, Joey Vera Project Debut Video, Album Available Now

The day has finally arrived and the debut from MOTOR SISTER, Ride is out now on Metal Blade Records! The album can be ordered at metalblade.com/motorsister.

Coinciding with the album’s release the band is pleased to unveil their new video for the track “A Hole“.

Check out the video directed by Jack Bennett and an exclusive interview with Scott Ian HERE.

MOTOR SISTER is a group of musicians whose collective musical pedigrees speak for themselves.

Mother Superior founder, guitarist, and vocalist Jim Wilson fronts the band, with Anthrax’s Scott Ian on guitar, Pearl Aday on backing vocals, Joey Vera on bass, and John Tempesta on drums.

The group was originally assembled to jam for Scott Ian’s fiftieth birthday party. Thanks to Scott’s wife Pearl Aday, who has been working on her solo career with Mother Superior front man Jim Wilson for years, all it took was a quick phone call and the stage was literally set for Scott’s dream gig.

I wanted to cherry-pick a set list of my favorite Mother Superior songs and get these guys together and have the concert at my house,” Ian says of the event that eventually led to an album.

That album became known as MOTOR SISTER‘s Ride.

The video for “Fork in the Road” which provides a rare glimpse into the recording of this Mother Superior favorite by MOTOR SISTER can be viewed HERE.

About Nothing:
Nothing was formed in 2011 by Domenic Palermo. Previously Palermo was the brains behind the early 2000’s hardcore/punk act Horror Show. in 2002 Horror Show was put on hold after Palermo was incarcerated for a stabbing that eventually led to a 2 year prison sentence. Upon his return Palermo would take a lengthy hiatus from music. In 2011 Palermo released a demo tape titled “Poshlost” under the moniker NOTHING. After several attempts at constructing a solid lineup for the band Palermo met Brandon Setta. Setta would bring a lush, rich soundscape and a fresh approach to Palermo’s vision for Nothing. Setta and Palermo would handle the writing for the next release, a very rare 12″ EP that was released on Japanese boutique label Big Love Records called Suns And Lovers (A play off of the D.H. Lawernce book). It was limited to 300 copies and the bands share was donated back to the label for a Tsunami Relief Charity. The next release,Downward Years To Come was a 5 song EP and was recorded at the Rubber Tracks Studio in Brooklyn with Kyle “Slick” Johnson. The record was released by Baltimore Label A389 Records in November 2012. Written by Palermo and Setta, the concept behind Downward Years To Comewas a dedication to several different poets who had taken their own lives. Head to Nothing’s bandcamp page here to stream or purchase Downward Years To Come and Suns And Lovers. Setta and Palermo would again head into the studio, this time with Jeff Zeigler at Uniform Recordings to write their debut LP, Guilty of Everything and sign with Relapse Records.

KRAMPUS Release New Song Sampler

Italy‘s folk metal heroes KRAMPUS have posted a video interview with lead singer Filippo Gianotti. Fil answers some of the questions fans have sent in since the release of KRAMPUS’ new single “Paralysis”, which has received broad reactions and caused quite a bit of controversy among fans of both the band and the genre. Also included is a sneak peek of KRAMPUS’ upcoming second new song, which will again be free to download and share for everyone.

The band comments:

“You ask, we answer! Here’s a video interview with Fil, replying to some of the questions you’ve asked since the release of our new track “Paralysis”. Better still – enjoy a sneak peek of our next free song “Butterflies On Fire” at the end!” http://youtu.be/jpD5QGGCPiI

KRAMPUS released a new track back in September. The song, along with almost a full album’s worth of material, was written mere months after the release of the band’s first full length album in 2012. Produced by Tommy Vetterli (Eluveitie, Coroner), “Paralysis”  breaks with the band’s musical past as well as genre conventions, while taking the combination of authentic folk instrumentation with modern metal a bold step further.

BOMBUS Premiere New Video

Los Angeles, CA – Gothenburg‘s metal bastards BOMBUS have completed their second blistering video for their Century Media debut albumTHE POET AND THE PARROT. The video for “Enter The Night” was created by former bass player, Ulf Lundèn, who is now in charge of all the band’s artwork and shows the detailed love that Ulf took to create this work of art.

Bombus cover

The band has teamed up with METAL HAMMER (UK) to premiere the video. Check it out here: www.metalhammer.co.uk/news/the-new-bombus-video-is-pretty-freaky/

Here is what BOMBUS had to say about the video:

“Enter the Night is, obviously since we’re using it as a video track, one of our favorites on the album. The song pretty much sums up what we’re about as it starts out as an aggressive rocker and ends on a more barren note. Behind the video is ex BOMBUS bass player Ulf – who totally has outdone himself with this video – where he lets BOMBUS enter and travel through his version of the night. Enjoy and buckle up!” – BOMBUS

THE POET AND THE PARROT will be in stores September 17 and will be available as a limited edition Digipak with 2 additional bonus tracks, as a standard CD and as a gatefold vinyl (180 gram on black or dark green wax).
