GLORIOR BELLI Reveal Upcoming Album Title Track

French black metallers with a heavy southern rock touch, GLORIOR BELLI, reveal the title song from their forthcoming album “Gators Rumble, Chaos Unfurls”. The third song to be released prior to street date is available for listening at Noisey, below. “Gators Rumble, Chaos Unfurls” will hit the shops on October 29 in Europe and November 12 in North America via Agonia Records.

Consequently climbing the ladder of innovation and artistic development, the French band GLORIOR BELLI managed to work out a very own sound and view in the often stiff frames found within the black metal genre. Descriptions such as “Avant-garde black metal bluesmen” (Pitchfork) or “bluesy doom-sludge” (Metal Sucks) are only the two sides of the same coin, that is about to reveal a new flip. “Gators Rumble, Chaos Unfurls” – band’s fifth full-length release – is yet another milestone of an unusual relationship between southern stylistics and crushing heaviness, all tied up and sealed by a twisted yet still refreshing take on music, straight from the suburbs of Paris.

The successor to “The Great Southern Darkness” (Metal Blade, 2011) will be available as digi-pack CD12″ Vinyl and digitally.

AOSOTH Premiere Video For New Song

French sowers of distinctive Black Metal, AOSOTH, premiered a video for Ritual Marks Of Penitence – the closing track off the new album entitled IV: Arrow In Heart. The video, directed by Matthieu Spinazzola and David Fitt, can be viewed at You Tube, below.

The AOSOTH track, Temple Of Knowledge made its debut on The Welding Room to open the March 18 (episode 105) just prior to the program jumping into a four-hour, Tuesday drive time slot on WRDR-DB. To hear any song from IV: Arrow In Heart on The Welding Room, send your Death Threats/Complaints to

First revealed song off IV: Arrow In Heart, can be streamed here:

AOSOTH will be also re-releasing their albums, II and III – both for the first time on black vinyl – along with the 4th album in their career on April 16 worldwide via Agonia Records.

IV: Arrow In Heart is a natural improvement over bands previews release, entitled III, which already was ‘a major step forward for Aosoth in creating their own distinct sound” – Sputnik Music

The new release holds yet a bigger spiritual meaning, the band comments: “We’ve spent such a huge amount of time on defining a darker identity, yet open to a wider range of influences. Those tracks still haunt us, as delivering them was a painful and excruciating experience, and left some of us even physically wounded… Which gives that album even more of a spiritual value, as it involved a form of sacrifice.”

Furthermore, AOSOTH members add: “This fourth full-length release is without a doubt a great step forward for us in term of music writing, and sound.”

1. An Arrow in Heart
2. One With The Prince With A Thousand Enemies
3. Temple of Knowledge
4. Under The Nails and Fingertips
5. Broken Dialogue 1
5. Broken Dialogue 2
6. Ritual Marks of Penitence

Upcoming shows:
May 9: La Boule Noire (Paris, France)
May 10: Ubu (Rennes, France)
May 25: Maryland Death Fest (USA)
November 17/18: Black Flames of Blasphemy (Helsinki, Finland)

BLAAK HEAT SHUJAA (photo C. Jenkins)

“Heavy Mental” psych rockers BLAAK HEAT SHUJAA will release The Storm Generation, their debut EP for Tee Pee Records on December 11. On The Storm Generation, thick, colorful bass lines coexist with flying reverb guitars, ethereal chants and loud, tribal drums. Produced by Scott Reeder (Kyuss, The Obsessed) in the Mojave desert, the EP features a guest appearance by Nobel Prize-nominated gonzo poet Ron Whitehead, adding even more color to BLAAK HEAT‘s signature psychedelia. The EP is a precursor to the band’s new full length The Edge of an Era, which is set for a March 26, 2013 release.

BLAAK HEAT SHUJAA‘s enticing blend of genres has been called “a dissonant symphony unveiling visions of great natural expanses” and is unlike anything you’ve likely heard before. The band’s transcendental tension between its heavy rock roots and an organic inclination to drift towards psychedelia pays homage to the vast collection of mind-expanding sounds the trio grew up on: neo-psychedelia, surf rock, spaghetti westerns, Middle Eastern scales and Far Eastern melodies.

“We spent all summer at our LA studio working on the new record,” comments BLAAK HEAT SHUJAA guitarist / vocalist Thomas Bellier. “The creative vibe was unbelievable, and the music just kept flowing. Soon we had way more than needed for a full-length record, so we talked to Tee Pee Records about doing an EP before the album, which they agreed to. The EP has something for everyone: hints of surf rock, massive basses, psych solos, shades of metal…it unleashes the uniqueness of the Blaak Heat sound.”
BLAAK HEAT SHUJAA collaborated with filmmakers Cole Jenkins and Andrew Baxter to document the recording of their new music alongside Reeder and the resulting five part behind-the-scenes videos have been posted online via The Obelisk. Check out the videos here (part 1part 2 / part 3 / part 4 / part 5).
Formed in 2008 in Paris, FranceBLAAK HEAT SHUJAA  promptly established itself as the ‘young Turks’ of European heavy psychedelia and boast a cinematic sound that has been called “Heavy Spaghedelia” featuring “psychedelic, meditative, trance-inducing” and “spacey atmospheres”. Now based in Los Angeles, the trio’s music has evolved into a hybrid of styles that is sure to find appeal to fans of Earthless, Kyuss, Naam, OM and Calexico.
Thomas Bellier (guitars, vocals), Mike Amster (drums) andAntoine Morel-Vulliez (bass).
Blaak Heat Shujaa - Let a thousand parks bloom

“The dominance of the psychedelic, meditative, trance-inducing, spacey atmospheres and an overall rather slow pace of the sound surely recall bands like Yawning Man, Naam, Dead Meadow, Earthless, Colour Haze and even Om (not to mention decades of acid psychedelic music produced across the Atlantic Ocean)… you find yourself instantly thrown onto a horse galloping in the desert while sunset is flashing the sky with red and purple shades against the black horizon made of table mountains and saguaros” – DOOMMANTIA

“amazing… If you like desert rock, psychedelic rock or bands such as Tool, Naam, Colour Haze or even Earthless, you’ll like Blaak Heat Shujaa” – HEAVY PLANET

When asked to headline the first annual Blankfest Vancouver, there were no second thoughts from Titans Eve as they were honored to help a worthy cause for the city’s street youth and shelter Covenant House, plus they were excited to play their first show since returning from their European tour with Arch Enemy.

The thrashers shared The Railway Club stage on November 10th alongside 11 other rock and metal bands from across British Columbia and Alberta, which included Matt Blais, Kathy Frank, Mad Young Darlings, The Deadwax Collective, Handsome Distraction, Cry of Silence, The Mighty One, Open Air, The Coalition, Versus The Nothing and Thorntyr. The event was able to raise over $1000 and 200 clothing items for city’s homeless.

“Blankfest was a total success. Every band was totally fantastic and the cause was inspiring! Titans Eve is proud to help Vancouver the greatest city in the world out by helping its homeless stay warm in the coming winter months. Thank you very much for supporting Vancouver!” comments vocalist/guitarist Brian Gamblin.
