IRON REAGAN Announce Worldwide Tyranny!

Richmond, Virginia’s IRON REAGAN are true road warriors.  After just wrapping up an extensive North American run, the band has a quick break before heading over for their first-ever Australian tour. IRON REAGAN are set to head down under April 7 in Wollongong, NSW and wraps up April 11 in Melbourne, VIC.

After Australia the band shows no signs of stopping as today they have announced a touring schedule that will keep them on the road through July!  The band has announced new United States dates, European dates and a headlining UK Tour.  A complete list of dates can be found below.  The European dates include numerous festival appearances and the US dates will also feature Noisem and Angel Dust.

Bassist Land Phil on touring Europe:

“I am very excited to bring IRON REAGAN to all you crazy head bangers across the ocean. We have been busy as hell these past two years touring the US and Canada and have yet to get the opportunity to go overseas and play in front of some of the greatest audiences in the world. Prepare for some raging, out of control, cross-over insanity!”

Front man Tony Foresta about hitting the UK:

IRON REAGAN‘s first trip to the UK!!!! And to top it off a gig in London at one of my all time favorite venues with legends Terrorizer. I’m greatly looking forward to seeing so many old friends as well as bringing Iron Reagan to a whole new audience.  I’m going to fill up on so much food at Cookies and Scream in Camden that I will most likely barf it all up later that night at the Crobar. Can’t wait!”

Iron Reagan released their sophomore full-length The Tyranny of Will via Relapse Records last year along with the viral video directed by Whitey McConnaughy (Red Fang, ZZ Top) for the song “Miserable Failure”.  Watch the video HERE and stream the full album HERE.

Fronted by the venomously lyrical Tony Foresta (Municipal Waste), on paper IRON REAGAN is a Richmond, Virginia super group (the band also features Phil Hall of Municipal Waste, Cannabis Corpse, etc. as well as Ryan Parrish formerly of Darkest Hour together with members of Mammoth Grinder).

In other IRON REAGAN news lead singer Tony Foresta has released a brand of signature hot sauce called “Liquid Arson”.  A collaboration with the renowned Tears of Joy Hot Sauce brand, Tony’s hot sauce is a mosh pit in your mouth with a 9 out of 10 heat rating and is available for purchase HERE

Obscura Prepare First New Album in Four Years; Launch Digital Tab Book

Get The ‘Omnivium’ Guitar Tablature Book HERE

German progressive metal masters OBSCURA will enter Dreamsound Studios this April to begin recording drums for their highly anticipated new album and first full-length in over four years. The band will work once again with long time producer V. Santura (Cosmogenesis, Omnivium). The album will see a late 2015 release via Relapse Records. Guitarist / vocalist Steffen Kummerer commented on the upcoming material:

“We are all pleased with the new material which pairs the songwriting, technicality and arrangements of our previous albums with the creative input of members Linus Klausenitzer, Tom “Fountainhead” Geldschläger and Sebastian Lanser, while keeping our trademark prog riffing across the fusion and death metal landscape that makes Obscura sound unique. This album sees Obscura move a step further.”

While the band prepares the upcoming recordings, a digital tablature book of their critically acclaimed record Omnivium is available for pay-what-you-want download at the band’s website http://www.realmofobscura.com. The book contains 368 pages in total, including tabs for all lead and rhythm guitars, transcribed live versions of each solo and arrangements for two guitars plus liner notes for each song. It can be purchased directly here. The band has also uploaded a video featuring Steffen Kummerer showcasing his new custom RAN guitar.

More details on the band’s upcoming album will be announced shortly.

Obscura Tour Dates:

July 18 – Prog Stage Festival Israel
July 24 – Metal Days Open Air Tolmin, Slovenia

About Nothing:
Nothing was formed in 2011 by Domenic Palermo. Previously Palermo was the brains behind the early 2000’s hardcore/punk act Horror Show. in 2002 Horror Show was put on hold after Palermo was incarcerated for a stabbing that eventually led to a 2 year prison sentence. Upon his return Palermo would take a lengthy hiatus from music. In 2011 Palermo released a demo tape titled “Poshlost” under the moniker NOTHING. After several attempts at constructing a solid lineup for the band Palermo met Brandon Setta. Setta would bring a lush, rich soundscape and a fresh approach to Palermo’s vision for Nothing. Setta and Palermo would handle the writing for the next release, a very rare 12″ EP that was released on Japanese boutique label Big Love Records called Suns And Lovers (A play off of the D.H. Lawernce book). It was limited to 300 copies and the bands share was donated back to the label for a Tsunami Relief Charity. The next release,Downward Years To Come was a 5 song EP and was recorded at the Rubber Tracks Studio in Brooklyn with Kyle “Slick” Johnson. The record was released by Baltimore Label A389 Records in November 2012. Written by Palermo and Setta, the concept behind Downward Years To Comewas a dedication to several different poets who had taken their own lives. Head to Nothing’s bandcamp page here to stream or purchase Downward Years To Come and Suns And Lovers. Setta and Palermo would again head into the studio, this time with Jeff Zeigler at Uniform Recordings to write their debut LP, Guilty of Everything and sign with Relapse Records.
