SEPTICFLESH Unveil Final “Making Of” Video

Just in time for the release of their highly anticipated new album “Titan,” the Greek symphonic death metal quartet SEPTICFLESH — who kicked off their long-awaited North American tour with Fleshgod Apocalypse this week — unveiled the final video in their behind-the-scenes “making-of” series.

Watch as they add the final touches to the recording alongside the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir below:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zH895sREjI&feature=youtube_gdata_player

“Titan” — the band’s Prosthetic debut — has been lauded as “the music of a Biblical apocalypse” (About.com/HeavyMetal) while scoring a near-perfect rating from Outburn, who praised its “grand symphonic orchestration and thunderous percussion.”

Mixed and mastered by acclaimed producer Logan Mader (Gojira, Fear Factory, Cavalera Conspiracy), “Titan” consists of 10 epic, resounding tracks the band self-describes as “the ultimate death metal soundtrack for your darkest dreams.”

Pick up a copy of “Titan” on 2 CD Digi-pak (featuring an extra disc of five orchestral bonus tracks) or Gatefold 2 LP from the band at one of their upcoming co-headlining shows throughout North America with Fleshgod Apocalypse, or from the Prosthetic webstore HERE. Digital downloads are also available now via iTunes (Standard / Deluxe) and Amazon MP3 (Standard/Deluxe).

WILSON Announces Tour With FUCK FACE UNSTOPPABLE

WILSON has just finished what was quite possibly their most debaucherous tour to date, and these dudes have no plans on stopping any time soon.

That being said the non-stop party will continue with a headline date on November 1 in Big Rapids, MI. Then at the end of November, WILSON will hit the road with Bam Margera’s Fuck Face Unstoppable.

The Fuck Face Unstoppable tour kicks off November 30 in Peoria, IL and runs through December 18 in Montreal, QUE.  That’s not it though; this December the WILSON boys will be playing a special holiday show with fellow Detroit Metallers, Battlecross.

Frontman Chad Nicefield checked in with an update on the band’s upcoming plans:

“After obliterating our minds and bodies with the spirits (the boozy kind) of what was almost the ENTIRE U.S of A over the past two months, we are excited to announce this next run of the gamut for WILSON.

We expect to not only smear our rock and roll feces all over the face of Canada, but are beyond excited to spend this captivating period of time with the likes of Mr. Margera and crew! We even get to spend a few days celebrating the holidays with our dear fellow Detroiters Battlecross! (FUCK YEA!)

We want you to fully expect WILSON to leave it all on stage every night. Nothing will stop the fuckery, nothing CAN stop the fuckery! Not even sub-zero temps, the mountains of the West or any wussy snow or ice that may try and stick it’s boner in our spokes.

So HO HO HO mother fuckers, WILSON has a bag of shit hawks to send flying in each of your towns!”

The Fuckery will be taking to the high seas next year as WILSON will be taking part in the “Shiprocked” Cruise set for January 26 – 30 2014.  The band will appear alongside Five Finger Death Punch, Papa Roach and many others.

For more information and to book a spot, visit the official site HERE.

WILSON’s video for “College Gangbang” (as heard on The Welding Roo) can be seen HERE.

WILSON are five dudes in a van with beards and big dicks- working harder than your parents.  But instead of giving their all as stockbrokers or auto-mechanics or assistant branch managers their job is to destroy your party.  When that WILSON van cruises into your town that shit is REAL. Real MUSIC. Real LIFE. Real LOUD. Real SWEATY. And real fucking FUN.

Legendary UK doom pioneers ESOTERIC have revealed more details about their forthcoming North American tour, and added additional dates. The tour, which starts on September 20 in Soda Springs, CA, will run for two weeks before ending on October 5 in Cambridge, MA. New tour dates have been announced in Chicago, IL at Reggie’s and Cambridge MA, at T.T. The Bear’s Place. The tour will see support from Saturnalia Temple (SWE) and Velnias (CO). A full list of tour dates can be found below.

ESOTERIC recently announced a rare appearance at this year’s Stella Natura Festival. The Stella Natura festival runs from September 20 through the 22 and is located in the Sierra Nevada’s Tahoe National Forest. The festival will see ESOTERIC perform alongside bands like WARDRUNA (NO), STARGAZER (AU), JARBOE, LOSS, WORM OUROBOROS, and more. Further information can be found at the Stella Natura website.

ESOTERIC is touring in support of their latest album, titled ‘Paragon of Dissonance’ (November,  2011) The album is streaming in its entirety at the official ESOTERIC Bandcamp page.

ESOTERIC trace their underground roots back to 1992. The Birmingham, UK-based outfit have been pushing the limits of sonic intensity for more than 20 years. A darker and more mature effort, Psychonaut brings forth Fatality’s trademark energy and commitment to drunken mayhem. Tracks like ‘Thoughts Collide’ and ‘Before The Collapse’ delve deep into the sodden minds of their creators, bubbling with the strange alchemy of pop culture. Psychonaut is an exploration of the inner landscape of the mind, where addled thoughts and horror-polluted dreams are held up to musical scrutiny. Monstrous, ambitious, and sardonically funny as ever, Fatality are taking their unique sound and boundless energy to the next level.

About:

Toronto, Canada’s high-energy, modern thrash monsters Fatality have been cranking out wise-cracking, beer-drenched nightmares together since 2003. Known for their wild, riotous live performances and their peerless work ethic, they have been independently booking and promoting their own shows, creating great merch, touring North America, and making some great tunes along the way. Few bands embody the DIY spirit as fully as Fatality consistently do, and no other bands have as much fun working their asses off.

Fatality’s debut effort, Beers From The Grave, was an irreverent, horror-themed album that eschewed seriousness in favour of hard living and good times. Decibel Magazine quipped that, on Beers From The Grave, “solos fly with reckless abandon, the bass is audible and practically so are the beers being cracked open. These guys must have awesome parties.” Hellbound.ca stated that Fatality are “a bundle of crass, explosive, obnoxiously positive energy spewing beer and shrapnel.” Part homage to classic zombie apocalypse horror and part retro-thrash ruckus, Beers From The Grave was an exciting, riotously messy debut.

After supporting Beers From The Grave with East coast Canadian tours, and being invited to share the stage with the likes of Exodus, Municipal Waste, Holy Grail and Razor, the thrash rockers went back to the studio and emerged with still more new material. Three rough-and-tumble, irresistibly catchy singles — “T.F.E.S.”, “Uppercut” and “Hammerfist” — were bundled together as a free EP. While most bands would have simply released a free record and called it a day, Fatality supported their singles with North American tours, winning hearts, destroying livers and splitting eardrums along the way. After those adventures, Fatality went into a period of hiatus. They emerged from this creative cocoon and re-instated their original drummer, Mason LeVon (brother to guitarist and vocalist Spencer LeVon, who replaced longtime friend and skinsman Andrew Suarez), and new musical vision. In early 2012, the band began writing a brand-new full-length, ‘Psychonaut’, unquestionably their most ambitious project to date.

GIZA to Release Limited Print Vinyl via Threshold of Pain Records

Threshold of Pain Records - logo

Website | Facebook | Store

Seattle, WA‘s apocalyptic instrumental sludge trio GIZA will release their debut album Future Ruins on limited vinyl this fall through Threshold of Pain Records. GIZA, formed in March of 2012 by Steve Becker, Trent McIntyre, and Richard Burkett with the goal of writing loud and massive instrumental music, recorded Future Ruins in May of 2012 with Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Isis, Botch, Harkonen). The band previously released the 6-track album on their own earlier this year on CD and digitally.

Comments the band:

Giza is excited to be working with Threshold of Pain Records for a limited high quality color vinyl release of Future Ruins. There is no doubt that vinyl is the ultimate medium for home listening, and we look forward to our listeners to be able to experience Future Ruins as we had always intended.”

GIZA is currently writing for their next album with plans to enter the studio this autumn for a tentative 2014 release. For now, listen to Future Ruins on their Bandcamp (http://giza.bandcamp.com). Future Ruins is currently available on CD and as a name-your-own price digital download.

“Ambient doom is the first thing that came to my mind when listening to Giza’s Future Ruins. To some extent all doom is ambient, but Giza take it to new levels with lush, ethereal soundscapes underscored by delicate guitar passages that are usually played by bands at twice the BPM found here” – MetalSucks.net

“A debut full-length from the instrumental Seattle trio, Future Ruins was recorded and mixed by Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Isis, etc.) and hits on a lumbering pace, vaguely post-metal in its style, but more because of a pervasive drone influence than any aping of the subgenre’s forebears. The crux of the six tracks doesn’t seem to be moody ambience or contemplative spaces so much as aurally crushing tones periodically contrasted with, well, semi-crushing tones. It’s pretty crushing, I guess is what I’m getting at” – TheObelisk

MOUTH OF THE ARCHITECT Debut New Song

This year marks the ten year anniversary of the undeniably spine-crushing band MOUTH OF THE ARCHITECT. While many have anticipated the apocalypse in 2012, MOTA has been accurately predicting and creating the soundtrack for such a disaster since 2003. There is perhaps no better way to celebrate such a milestone than by releasing a new face melting full-length record, and MOTA has never failed in that regard.

Available June 25th on Translation Loss Records – Pre-Orders Up Now

MOTA teamed up Pitchfork to premiere the first track from the band’s new album Dawning. The song entitled It Swarms can be heard HERE. Dawning is available for pre-order HERE.

In 2004 they released Time and Withering with great success and followed up with a split CD alongside another Dayton, OH based band, KENOMA. After releasing the critically acclaimed The Ties That Blind in 2006 and the beautifully devastating Quietly in 2008, the band underwent about a million member changes before releasing The Violence Beneath EP in 2010.

The current lineup consists of drummer Dave Mann, guitarists and vocalists Steve Brooks and Kevin Schindel, keyboardist and vocalist Jason Watkins, and bassist Evan Danielson. The band plans to celebrate its ‘most glorious birthday’ by releasing a psychedelic-tinged sludge-rock masterpiece. Remaining under the long time label support of Translation Loss Records, their new album Dawning bludgeons its way to the top of their long catalog of doom rock greatness. These dudes last proved their heavy-metallic weight in gold when they made it through a volcanic eruption to play the Roadburn Festival on their 2010 European tour in support of The Violence Beneath. This year these well-worn road veterans plan on bringing their incredibly loud and extremely hairy brand of post-metal to a venue near you in support of Dawning. Of course, you have to live in the northern hemisphere to get your chance to witness this rock ‘n roll spectacle.

In support of Dawning MOUTH OF THE ARCHITECT will be touring this summer with Intronaut and Scale the Summit. The tour starts June 5th in Seattle, WA and runs through July 6th in Hollywood, CA. A complete list of dates can be found below.

Check out www.mouthofthearchitect.com or www.translationloss.com for more information.

The Revenant soundtrack features music from Tsurumi acts like garage punks The Beautiful Mothers and experimental rockers The Second Academy, international acts Aqualush and La Mala Rodriguez, classical music from two companies and even an appearance from seminal underground sensation The Shaggies.

“I’ve always been inspired by really good soundtracks, like Pulp Fiction and Clockwork Orange,” Davis adds.

Three years ago Davis’ good friend and independent film maker Kerry Prior, approached him about collaborating on a soundtrack for The Revenant; a modern take on a classic horror story, which he wrote, directed and produced.

The childhood friends grew up together in Cleveland, OH listening to and playing punk rock.

The Revenant began its film festival run with a premier at the 2009 at Toronto’s “After Dark” Fest, upon which they dubbed it one of the “10 Movies To See Before You Die.” It later ran in theaters in 2012 and is now out on DVD. Reviews ranging from diverse sources such as The Newark Star-Ledger to DreadCentral.com declare it “sure to become a cult classic.”

The film focuses on Second Lieutenant Bart Gregory (David Anders), who is killed under mysterious circumstances in Iraq only to find out that he didn’t really die. Rather, he is undead: a zombie-vampire hybrid, known as the Revenant. Bart needs blood to hold back decomposition and he finds his way around his new state against the dark backdrop of downtown Los Angeles.

The Revenant appears to be moving towards that cult status with a solid underground and online fan base that is growing daily. Every cult classic needs a killer soundtrack and now fans of The Revenant won’t have to wait any longer.
