THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER Release Performance Demo Video

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER are currently touring as part of the Van’s Warped Tour 2013. At the Ventura, CA stop of the tour, Brian Eschbach, Ryan Knight, Max Lavelle, and Alan Cassidy, recorded their parts for Into the Everblack from the band’s new album, Everblack. The performance is streaming now at metalblade.com/bdm. Videos for each individual performance are posted at youtube.com/blackdahliamurdertv.

 Audio Hammer producer Mark Lewis comments specifically on Knight’s leads on Everblack:

“Ryan Knight’s leads on Everblack are nothing short of phenomenal. I grew up listening to the best in the era of shred, and I can honestly say these solos rank up there with the best, and beyond. They are not just technical solos in the athletic, ‘look how fast I can play’ sense, there is truly amazing harmonic content going in these leads. Any educated player will realize that the chord changes he is playing over are far more complex than anything you typically find in metal. Mix all that with absolutely world class tone and vibrato, and you really have an amazing piece of work. It does not get better than this.”

Watch THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER’s new music video for Goat of Departure HERE. The video was directed by Ben Mayer and filmed in the band’s hometown of Detroit, MI last month. In typical TBDM fashion, it is over-the-top and even features the return of a classic TBDM character, and a real, live goat.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER Streaming Track From New Album

The Black Dahlia Murder’s sixth full-length album, Everblack, will be released worldwide in June 2013. Trevor Strnad’s horror-inspired lyrics persist on Everblack, beginning with In Hell is Where She Waits for Me, a reference to the murder from which the band took for their moniker.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER announce Everblack; first track streaming now

Vocalist Trevor Strnad elaborates on the lyrical concepts:

“The opening track is the first actual song we’ve done about the Black Dahlia. This one is for the fans, they’ve been asking for this to happen for a long time. The story takes place at the Elizabeth Short’s rain drenched funeral, where her killer in attendance… just one of the many macabre tales woven into the fabric of Everblack. Subterranean flesh-farming vampires, vine rape, Jeffery Dahmer, amputation… it’s all here! With this sixth slab of sickness I tried my best to honor the band’s legacy and write lyrics that will keep the legions of horror fiends perspiring with fear.”

The debut single, Into the Everblack, is streaming now on metalblade.com/bdm. To request THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER on The Welding Room, send Death Threats/Complaints to TheWeldingRoom@gmail.com.

Also available at metalblade.com/bdm are a variety of limited edition pre-order bundles. Fans can grab Everblack on a triple gatefold double LP with purple/white marbled vinyl, along with “crime scene bundles.” An evidence pack, which includes toe tags, deceased band member photos, spent shotgun shells, and more can be viewed now. These bundles are extremely limited and expected to sell out quickly.

Everblack will be released on June 11 in North America and on June 7/10 in Europe. THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER will be touring in support of Everblack all summer long as part of the Van’s Warped Tour. Dates can be seen below, as well as on facebook.com/theblackdahliamurderofficial.

THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER Confirmed For 2013 Van’s Warped Tour

(Detroit, Michigan) Melodic death metal outfit, THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, will be hitting the road this coming summer as a part of the annual Van’s Warped Tour.

Vocalist Trevor Strnad comments;

“We in THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER look forward to seeing you and your friend’s fancy haircuts this summer at the Van’s Warped Tour. I think it’s safe to say that all of us in TBDM have attended this tour at various points and have fond memories of this great American punk rock freak show. This time, we shall be the freaks… the sore thumb poking at your eyeball. We are proud to be the fastest, craziest, and most evil band that has ever played Warped Tour… hundreds of bands will enter, one band will leave. Us. We will emerge from the rubble like the giant cockroach men we are. See ya this summer… let’s get warped!”

New acts are being announced every Friday so keep an eye on official Van’s Warped Tour site for further updates.

The 2013 Van’s Warped Tour will kick off on Saturday, June 15 in Auburn, WA at the White River Amphitheatre and wraps up on August 04 in Houston, TX at Reliant Center Parking Lot.
