Antarctic rock-gods GWAR finally announced the ticket info for this year’s GWAR-B-Q, located at Hadad’s Water Park in Richmond, VA. This year sees the event entering its fourth consecutive year while offering its most bone-crushing line-up yet, setting the stage for what will certainly be the most massive GWAR-B-Q in the history of the human or any other race!

There will be three levels of tickets sold and all tickets will be available ONLY on the GWAR-B-Q website.

Today GWAR continues in their tradition of reuniting classic bands to play at the GWAR-B-Q, with the addition of the X-Cops! That’s right, the original lineup featuring Lt. Louie Scrapinetti (Mike Derks), Cadet Billy Club (Mike Dunn), Patrolman Cobb Knobbler (Dave Brockie), Sgt. Al Depantsia (Pete Lee), Sherriff Tubb Tucker (Casey Orr), Mountain Bike Officer Biff Buff (Brad Roberts), Sgt. Zypygski (Bob Gorman), and Detective Philip McRevis (Dave Musel) are reuniting for one night only at this year’s GWAR-B-Q! This will serve as the bands first show since 1996.

X-Cops’s bass “man” Cobb Knobbler commented on the reunion of the band:
“I am excited to get the boys together for one last gig, especially since I have become a member of the Westboro Baptist Church.”

Sherriff Tubb Tucker Motherfucker of All Motherfuckers added:
“Alright you lowlife dirtbags, listen up! X-Cops have been hired on as crowd control for the 4th annual GWAR-B-Q. I’m here to tell all of you faggot punks that we will be in full force to put the beat down on any of you little shits that step out of line! That’s right! After years of deep cover, the original X-Cops team has been reassembled to make sure there’s no bullshit at this fine event. We will be on hand to confiscate all your drugs, accept donations to our policeman’s balls, and thoroughly pat down your girlfriends. So bring drugs, money, and women! As you were.”

Three more bands have been added to the GWAR-B-Q lineup. Fresh off their tour with GWAR, Wilson and Warbeast will be making their first GWAR-B-Q appearance. Already confirmed for the GWAR-B-Q are local favorites and international thrashers Municipal Waste will provide main support to the mighty GWAR, and in turn will be supported by a plethora of devastating acts like Corrosion of Conformity, Pig Destroyer, Cannabis Corpse, Loincloth, Kung-Fu Dykes and many more. Once again Hadad’s will host not one but TWO stages which will be packed with bands all day…and finally there are rumors of a yet-to-be-announced act that will put this year’s GWAR-B-Q 2013 completely over the top!

Regarding the new incarnation of the band, band leader Heimoth issued the following statement:

Both parts have taken different directions for more than 10 years but we are thrilled to unveil The Howling Spirit together. Southern California juggernauts IMPENDING DOOM entered The Machine Shop (SUICIDE SILENCE, LAMB OF GOD) in  Belleville, NJ this week to start working on their next LP with producer Will Putney.

Bassist David Sittig weighs in on where the band stands in the process:

“The material is our best and heaviest work without a doubt. The chemistry between the five of us this time has been different and very unique. Our original guitarist Manny Contreras re-joined the band and we all could not be happier with what he has brought to the table. This is the Impending Doom album you have been waiting for!”

This untitled new effort will be the band’s followup to Baptized in Filth released in 2012. The band toured extensively for that record including last year’s Metal Alliance Tour. Their singles Murderer and Deceiver became highly successful music videos, which can be seen below.

This CD is part of the HPGD ”Price Slasher” series and will be released on June 25.

Horror Pain Gore Death Productions brings together two of the sickest Death Metal bands in the world for a killer split! Septory are the fastest rising Death Metal band in Russia at the moment. Featuring members of cult Death Metal act Bestial Deform and Black Metal horde Khashm, their brand of traditional yet innovative Death Metal is highly recommended for fans of Deicide, Vader and early Cannibal Corpse. After releasing the Rotting Humanity EP in 2006, Septory put out their crushing debut World War Chaos in 2008, followed by the destructive Seductive Art Profane in 2011. SPREAD THE METAL FESTIVAL Line-Up Announced

amr_logo_smal_570This September 7 and 8, Spread the Metal Records will host the annual Spread the Metal Festival in Toronto, ON.

The festival will see 100% of its profits donated to Kiva, a non-profit organization, which helps people around the world to lift themselves out of poverty.

Headlining the festival will be Suffocation, with additional headliners to be announced at a later date. Direct support will be provided by The Agonist, Augury and Skull Fist.

Additional support bands include Beheading of a King, The Catalyst, Edge of Attack, Deathpoint, Crimson Shadows, Nephelium, Hallows Die, Evertrapped, Answer With Metal and Sanktuary.
To complement the festival itself, the label is launching a crowd funding campaign in order to raise additional funds for Kiva.

Among the perks are signed albums and set lists from every band at the festival (including some that aren’t), guitar picks, album downloads, etc. As well, fans will have the chance to attend the sound check, hang out with the headliner of their choice, and even punch a record label exec!
